Ricky: Blind albino raccoon. In addition to being blind, he’s missing his left eye. Although albino, he is not pure white, as one might imagine. Instead, his fur is almost a cream color, and the markings traditional of a raccoon are on Ricky so faint that you might not see them at first, and indeed, he lacks the characteristic “mask”, having instead heavy patches of black fur around his eyes, the only fur on his body that is not cream colored.

Ricky is the mate of Frank, and spends his time “harassing” Twyla, who in turn teases him relentlessly, but they both know that it’s all in good fun. Twyla is allowed to joke about Ricky’s blindness, something that no other animal has ever been given the right to do, including Rowan.

While Ricky may look like he’s had a rough lot in life, his heightened sense of hearing and his walking stick provide him hours of fun tormenting unsuspecting bystanders, who mostly happen to be Rowan. Ricky’s just a tease, however, and never means anything malicious with his pranks. Rather than complain about his lot in life, he tends to try to make the best of it.

‘Ricky shook his head. "Don't mind Twyla, lad, she's an old fogey."
Twyla ruffled Ricky's fur and pretended to try swiping his glasses. "Old fogey am I? You're the one who can't see, old man."
Ricky just shook his head, smiling. "That's not fair, you know. I don't make excuses pertaining to your handicap."
"And just what handicap would that be?" Twyla replied with a snort.
"What else?" Ricky replied. "Being female."‘

Of course neither of them are older than 25 but Twyla teases Ricky about his white hair and fur, and he teases her about being female, which is actually ironic. Ricky is a tranny. When he and Frank go out, Ricky often dons the guise of Rita, who is almost his alter ego. ‘Rita’ doesn’t use a walking stick, never wears glasses, and no one would ever guess that ‘she’ is blind.

Accessories: Ricky always has his walking stick, Rita never carries it. Ricky always wears glasses, Rita doesn’t. Rita wears an eye patch to cover up the missing eye, Ricky does not. Rita wears a gold stud earring in her right ear, Ricky very rarely wears a diamond stud. Usually he doesn’t wear an earring but the hole for the earring should still be visible. Rita has breasts made of silk bags full of birdseed. Don’t believe me? Ask a drag queen, it’s one of the best ways to recreate a woman’s chest. Rita is about a C-cup. She also wears makeup in varying shades.
