WHAT IS AYASHA?
Ayasha is a plant life form which was born at Lux planet. Ayashas are intelligent species *at the current level of evolution*.
Lux closely resembles the greenhouse by the wet and the heat. Ayasha's historical habitat is located in the tropical lowlands, where the average temperature is between 50 and 66 degrees Celsius. Ayashas are long-lived species, living about 2000 years and reaching up to 9 feet in height.
Ayashas are spread by spores, but only a few of sprouted plants survive to 'mindhood' (about 80 years old). Before the mindhood, Ayashas look like usual carnivorous plants and eat insects and other small animals. Ayashas are solitary, they are interact with each other via minions (rarely).
Ayashas are hulking and lazy beasts. Some of them moves so rarely that they can grow into surrounding area. But also Ayashas are still carnivorous plants. For hunt, they use the daughter plant called 'Minion' (from 1 to 4 Minions, depends on Ayasha's age and intelligence level). The minion take more than a year to grow, and Ayasha spends a huge amount of nutrient budgets to grow that one.
Minion of modern Ayasha always has anthropomorphic appearance (but before Ayasha species were intelligent, minions look like Lux feral life forms). Ayasha is capable of generating any details of minion's appearance based on all creatures Ayasha saw earlier. Minion can't change the appearance after separating from the root.
Minion has its own mind in communication with the main - Ayasha's - mind. Minions are incapable of feeding themselves, they can feed off Harmonic energy, which Ayasha feed them. Ayasha has inner body core, which receives, stores and transmits Harmonic energy from the environment.
To feed Ayasha, minions, in turn, regularly go hunting. They go to the settled areas and abduct any intelligent creature. Every minion's acting alone. To rob the victim of its free will, minion quietly injects its a drug, which is made in glands. Then minion leads the victim to Ayasha. Ayasha swallows prey whole and digests it over several weeks.
After Lux had formed an alliance of civilisations, Ayashas started to travel though planets. They're excellent spaceship pilots, navigators and wise counselors (with specific sence of humor).
