Quotes :
Main body: «This world doesn’t require your existence.»
Left Leg of Huaccan : «Your death shall be slow and merciless! gwahahahaha»
Chaos Screamer Core : «Burn! BURN! BURN IT ALL! GRAHAHAHAH»
Right Leg of Ouroboros : *Maniacal Laugh*
What happen when victory is within your grasp?
What happen when you can smell the glory that you deserve?
What happen when you can finally see the triumph you searched for so long?
And yet, standing between you and ultimate recognition, standing for the final time, those dastardly heroes, that you faced time and time again.
Yet you cannot falter. Not so close to your goal. This time, those heroes will see everything that you are made of, where you pull every punch that you know.
And when even that is not enough?
When you stand defeated yet again at their feet, would you risk to use the Orb of Dorien? To sacrifice part of yourself, that Hyper mode you were so proud of, the experiences and memories you have accumulated in this long journey; all that to gain ultimate power?
This is the result where you decide to risk it!
Let the final battle begin!
You have 500 000 HP
=========================================
Here it is! the VERY BASIC concept that started all those characters : making the player BE the final boss. This is the character that the player control in the final battle.
I have played hundreds of games (989 to be exact) and i have NEVER encountered a game where the main character turn out to be the final boss. Heck even if i include anime, manga and literature i haven't found this (though my knowledge of those is limited). Also, ever since i started making this story, i imagined other stories that feature the protagonist as the final boss. And 2 of them made the protagonist ends up turning into the dark lord. Though 2 stories out of 5 ain't too bad.
==========================================
Note that the characters aren't exactly sound of mind after being so juiced up with so much power. Still, these quotes are still perfectly in character for them.
They are just a little high on power
==========================================
Now for the backstory of this.
Much earlier in the game, the Ravagers (yeren the heizhen, devil, infested and dragunov the golem) had a quest where they have to obtain an Orb of Dorien, an artifact that can grant anyone extreme power. But with a cost : the user must willingly sacrifice a part of themselves to use as fuel for a temporary boost of power. It also fuse members of a team into one being. The Ravagers encountered someone that used the Orb as a boss battle as well as the consequences that comes with it as an in-game showcase of it.
Incidentally, team Marauders also got one and will use it in their own final battle.
This is the form they take when they take when they sacrifice their hyper form. They have a subsequent form (which will probably not be drawn) where they sacrifice their existence as individual.
Their opponent http://hergman.deviantart.com/galle.....40039#/d4mvlqs and is crew.
This fight will have the possibility of 4 endings.
-1 ending where the characters in their base form win against the heroes in their base form. Since this is not supposed to happen (the player is supposed to lose), it gives a Minimalistic ending.
- one is where they win the fight as this form. Its the Good Ending where you see all 12 characters (if you got the 4 secret characters, you'll see them) endings and where they are in life after separating. Hiezhen became a blacksmith, Infested became a bandit, Devil became an helper at the Great Academy, Golem moved on to the Elemental Earth Plane (which accidentally make him a summon creature by default), Beastman became a teacher for his martial art, Robot became the leader of the machines as the Head Repairman, Undead returned to be the Queen of the Dead though she got the annoying surprise of seeing that everyone was throwing a party every week, Doppelganger founded a family in the Elemental Plane of Shadow.
- another is where they lose in this form and get reformed into Terranos Ruin and win. This is the Glory Ending. the monster's hero witness their accomplishment of felling the human heroes but since they had to give up their existance as individuals to power that form, the Ravagers literally fade away after the battle. And the whole world of Der-Urkan remember their posthumous exploits.
-the last ending is when the player STILL lose. Its the Apocalypse Ending. The humans tried to terraform the planet Der-Urkan to the human standard (purifying the monster corruption they say) as well as driving out the corruption out of its inhabitants (more like torturing them, dissecting them and cutting out all body parts they consider "corruption") but ends up destroying it all.
=============================================
A few technical aspects now.
this is mostly a static final boss, only the legs can travel around on the battlefield by elongating the link to the body.
The fusion start at 100004 HP plus the max HP of all characters. so if all characters are at 99 999 HP (this always consider Break HP Limit skill, even if not currently equipped), that means that this boss got a whooping 500 000 HP! I've never seen a playable character with this many HP.
The enemy heroes each have 99 999 HP, can heal but not revive, unlike in round 1.
The characters feature enhanced version of their most well known skills.
Each part got different defense stats, which since the core is made out of the spellcaster, mean it is the weak point of this creature. with the main body having the highest defense.
Chaos Screamer can go into a defense mode making it impervious to damage (but making her unable to act). Still, if the opponent keep whacking her, its going to disable temporarily and stun her, making the core open for more attacks.
The parts can unite their power to make one gigantic beam attack, though you can't use it often. it leave any opponents caught with 1 hp
