Huangquan (黃泉) : The "yellow path" the path that leads to hell in the late Taoism beliefs (late because taoist didn't believe in the concept of hell before learning about the christian hell). Also called "yellow springs" sometimes which is hell itself, it varies.

Although I wanted the name of Hell in Taoist beliefs, I ended up preferring the pronunciation I used for the title, it just rolls better on the tongue and now it has a certain Mayan feel going for it.


Anyway, I am just SO happy that the second drawing is done!

He's also left-handed, hence why its the left leg.

This form is the ultimate form of Infested. It combines his two Hyper modes (he is unique in that he has two of them) into one perfect balance of attack and defence. The two hyper forms promote one characteristic over the other : defense or attack. They also put the emphasis over one side of Infested's lineage each : the defence put the emphasis on his infested heritage as an armored insect while the attack form put the emphasis on his oni side. Tough in the end, Infested is more bug than oni.

This form has the back spikes, the hands and the mouth the insect form while the hair (on his wrist as well), the horns, the eyes, the pants and the body represent his oni side. I do not know to which form the shoulder spikes belongs to, I haven't decided yet.
He can make tin tentacles come out of his arms to go inside the hollowed out veins of his sword, thats how he can use poison in conjunction with his weapon (and the veins are part of his infested side). You don't see them because they are stored inside his body.Speaking of which, his back spikes can also be stored inside his back but for now, the are in a drawn position.

Same goes for the weapon : the veins, the bump in the blade and the blade in front of the handle is part of the bug form's sword while the length of the blade, the secondary blade at the top and the two handed handle is part of the oni form's weapon.

Hes "Poison" element.
Speaking of poison, the veins on the blade allows him to infuse the poison into the blade for various effects. He does it by sprouting thin tendrils from his arm that lodge themselves into the veins on the weapon.


I am really happy with the result.
As a token of my happiness, I'll tell you that the next part of the set, (lets call it "orange" for now) is a woman. :psychotic:
