Long distance relationships are very difficult... they are really hard to manage along with your job, etc. My longest long distance relationship was almost three years, and it was the only relationship that lasted over one month.

On the plus side, very nice picture. I've always loved otters since I was a little kid. (:

Yeah, three years is about where we are right now (long distance, anyway; we were together a bit over two years before I had to move, as well). XD I'm hoping that's not a bad sign, that that's the limit or something.

It's actually been alright, since I'm kind of a commit-o-phobe, but I have days where it just depresses me. Meh.

LD relationships do tend to be stressful and.. just. in some ways moreso than local relationships.. in some ways less- but certainly no piece of cake :/

Yeah, that's how I feel, actually. XD I mean, it sucks not having her around, but I'm really bad at commitment so it's nice to have space. I'm such a horrible person. *cough.*

also,  krizzle told me to tell you he's been in one for right about four years- and it pays off.
It's hard an all but go with it- things get better over time.

('course, he may be biased- we get to see our dragon for like three weeks this summer, and we're somehow pulling off, in addition to a long-distance 'ship, a polyamorous one)

I suppose. But I feel like I'm using a dinosaur sometimes. XD

And it's all on the computer. I've become so reliant on Photoshop that I can barely draw with a pencil anymore. It's sad.

Yep, I've got a Wacom Intuos3. It is my baby. *snugs it*

It cost me about $300-350 new, I don't recall exactly. It was an expensive baby. But totally worth it. XD

Dang... What are the dimensions on that thing?

It's actually only a 6x11--the only dimensions they were offering at the time for optimum compatibility with a widescreen monitor. But it's the perfect size for me. My previous one was a 12x18, but that was actually so big that it was cumbersome.

I use cs2 and my rollerball mouse. I am afraid if I get expensive equipment it might not be as much of a challenge anymore. I love your stuff though. It is fantastic. Hugs, long distance does suck, but having someone is still good.

I know what you mean. They're really tough to keep going, but when you do get together, that time is all the more precious.

It's wonderful seeing someone who really understands what otters genuinely look like. Their faces and heads are tricky.

heck ya, ms. nylak. Its tough. I still have no idea how to do otter butts as anthros.. its like.. they cant have them at all cuz the rudder is so just an extension of the body core. Otter anthro anatomy is tough! :3

An I hope things look brighter soon. Ive had my own LD relationships an *sighs* I mean a few years since and I still feel broken over them. So ya. I hope you find someone close by, and that your heart can heal

And yet, you do it with a skill and mastery that makes it look so easy....the way the two human/otter anatomy/physiology blends so seamlessly in this image, coupled with some rather simple light techniques really pulls off a visual and emotional coup.

This image doen't just tweak at my heartstrings, its stretches them to the breaking point. Bravo! So refreshing to see art that has emotion to back its technical characteristics.

And I can agree with the kid-above-me's statement. Since I live near (river) otters, you seems to have the facial anatomy down very well.

Aw, poor ott. hugz I hope you and yours are back together one day soon. Anthro-otters may be a pain, but you do them very well in a semi-realistic style. That's why I watch you.
