Well, the best way to learn to use gimp is just to press everything and see what happens. ^^
Anyway, create a new picture, then choose the pen tool (it looks like a pen in the tool menu xD) and just start drawing, you can zoom in and change the brush size so when you are ready you make a new canvas for like 50x50 zoom in and start drawing. :3
