I saw both 2d and 3D and it was fraggin' AWESOME ! It was so touching watching their relationship grow from trusting each other when T realizes he needed Hiccup to fly and Hiccup was rewarded in finding out there was more to dragons than what he was taught and the final act of bonding when Toothless used himself to protected Hiccup from the fall. I thought his teeth retracted too but also why not have the gums cover the teeth and recede when he needs them?
The whole thing about a kid challenging the status quo and changing it despite insurmountable odds and showing dragons as peaceful creatures that can co-exist with the villagers. It was also great to see the bond of trust build between Hiccup and Toothless and building their friendship through out the film and the almost ultimate act of protecting his friend with his own body and showed the father who now realized how wrong he was about dragons. Also the cutest part was Toothless doing the "Happy Wiggle" as he waited for Hiccup to get out of his bed. :-D
mh... I obviously missed something... I didn't even get notice about the movie you're talking about so I was wondering how popular this little thing was.... (like the na'vi from avatar ;) What's the movie?.... Moment... OMG I don't believe it... that was "How to train your Dragon", wasn't it... I saw a poster of that film, but I thought "That gonna be a shit movie, I won't watch it", although I love dragons by the way... But if the movie is really as good as you say I will watch it in any case ^^
