Osmond arguing with Sinn after being convinced he is Evil by one of the Gods. Sinn isn't evil and never will be, he just had an idea that the gods didn't like...such as killing them to free the world of their corruption. So, instead of telling Osmond the truth, they lied to him until he began to believe almost anything they said. Then he heads off to kill Sinn, the First Hero.
Sinn: "They are lying to you, boy. None of the things they say are filled with truth."
Osmond: "Why wouldn't you kill him? Why did you let Daan live? You could have freed us from HIS corruption. Why didn't you?"
Sinn: "I didn't kill him because he was never a problem. He only wanted the same thing I did - to kill the gods and remove their corruption from this world. When he spoke out against them, they tricked me into believing he was going to kill everybody and take control over the world. I didn't know any better and had to make a choice. Now he's locked up in his own Hell where escape isn't an option, unless someone comes to save him. That someone would be you, Os."
Osmond: "It doesn't matter if it is me...Why would the Gods lie to me about something that serious? They only want to save people from danger and keep the world in order."
Sinn: "They lied to you because they are afraid of you. You have power, boy. Enough to kill all of them. Enough to control the world and shape it the way you want it. Whenever I locked Daan away, I made a deal with him. He'd enter Hell, but I had to give him something in return. Part of him rests inside you, Osmond. It's more powerful than you are, possibly even more powerful than the Gods are. That's why they forced me to subdue him in an eternal Hell. They could only hide from him for so long until one day...He found them and killed every last one of them out of a fit of rage. I thought I was doing the right thing by trapping him...But I wasn't. He was right about everything. I was cursed for not doing exactly what I was asked by the gods themselves. Why the hell would I want to kill the only person who's ever been nice to me and cared for me? The world isn't as amazing as you think it is. There are laws that shouldn't even be laws. Gods may be smart and have lots of power, but that doesn't mean they always do the right thing."
Osmond: "No...you're lying. I'm not gonna let you control me or lie to me any longer. It's my turn to take action." (Osmond pulls out his sword)
Sinn: "...Then so be it. If you think this is the right thing to do, I'm not gonna stop you. I just wanted things to be peaceful again, Os...even if you don't believe me. I don't want to hurt you, boy, but it looks like you're not giving me much of a choice. I'll try and make this quick..."
Sorry if this feels all over the place, I'm still working on writing stories. I kind of got a headache from this.
