Since I've finally got Mass Effect and have been playing it I though I'd draw up another Mass Effect character. Boys and girls meet Addi. He's an Asari. And a fairly odd one as Asari go. No it's not just the diaper that makes him an odd ball. Asari are monogender although anatomically appear female. Asari however require a mate for reproduction. This mate can be of any gender or species. The parent Asari passes on a copy of it's genes to the offspring but makes subtle changes to the DNA modeling the changes off of the DNA of the mate. The Result is a completely Asari offspring that may perhaps have some distinguishing trait from it's second parent. For example the head crest often times shows the most variation in it's texture. Some exibit ridges on the crest, different coloring, and even scales.
Addit here is odd though as unlike most Asari he's much more gender neutral in appearance. Addi here is the first Asari to exhibit this. As he's more gender neutral then most and lacks breast he's often referred to as a boy or male. Addi seems himself as such as well. He's viewed as a curiosity among other Asari as there's never been one quite like him before. The DNA repatterning obviously had a mutation to it to display less female characteristics and a few male ones. Some doctors think this may be in part to to Addi's father being a Krogan. However this can't be the sole factor in light that other Asari have mated with Krogan and had perfectly normal Asari daughters.
Addi tries not to really let this get to him and has thus far had a good life occasionally giving some genetic samples to curious scientist. Addi here has a good relationship with his parents. He couldn't ask for a more caring or supportive father. He's got a bit of an interest in xenobiology and anthropology and is pretty good with general technology. He hopes to go on digs sometime soon or at least visit a Prothian ruine. As for his diapers well Addi here has always had continence issues. The docs think this is in some way related to the gene mutation which makes him more neutral male rather then the standard neutral female asari. But another thing Addi is good at though is biotics much like many other Asari. He might not be the best hand to hand fighter but his biotic abilities are pretty strong. So pick on his diaper and well Addi could send you flying across the room ^^
