Boot and Blacktop, his traveling companion, are fending off a horde of The Faceless, a nemesis from the story arcs at http://shye.org and http://blackgazza.com. The Faceless are brainwashed, transformed, autonomous zombies serving the needs of a technological space-faring theocracy .... it seems that the Cibosan (Jackal) got a little too cocky in his beliefs that he could silently report on this society without being caught.
Perhaps they laid out a raspberry trap ...
