Jumanji, in so many ways, was just as regal as Nemesis. While both held themselves with the same kind of dignity and poise, Jumanji wasn't quite so "stuffy" as to not have some fun and bounce around his cage occasionally, or do the most practical things, just because it suited him at the moment. I think this picture is a great example of that.
In this picture, Jumer is resting in the middle of his cage, enduring the annoyingly bright sunlight. Being the efficient, practical sort, it would take more energy to get up, move, find that perfect place to lay back down in, and then flop down, than to simply relax a bit, lay one's head on the pillow...er...log, and enjoy some sunlight absorption.
Home is where the heart is, and the place that one sleeps is merely where one can find a pillow to rest the head upon. So this is indeed Jumanji's domain, with cool and comfortable grass to lay upon, where even a log is a pillow. Oh yes. Very practical indeed! That's the Jumer!
This picture was taken 18-May-04. The image was taken with a Canon EOS 10D and the EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM lens. The original was taken at full frame of 3072x2048x24b, ISO eqv 400, 1/350 shutter, f/5.6. This image was shrunken down for space conservation.

(Shasta bows deeply and formally) Thank you sincerely, Lady Bryony. I take that as quite the compliment.
Should you truly find peace and contentment, or inspiration, in these meager glimpses of these magnificent animals, then I can rest assured that I have indeed done them justice.
