Glad you like it! The great thing about the digital transfer of the artwork is being able to pump up the color and make it flourese! That gives these guys the "kick" that brings out their personalities!!

Bro, your traditional is on a roll. Careful about the line weight, if its the same, it'll make the figure flat since perspective is lost.

YOU'RE another one I have to keep an eye on!! I've been having trouble with my contour drawing and have been trying to figure out how to give more impact to the "lines"!

A trick i heard is to make the lines for the closest contour darker and the ones further away lighter.
Another trick would be to emphasis on the contracted/bent parts by making them darker. Ive seen a couple of animators try both of them out. But hey there could be more.

Yeah, I remember those tricks too but what do you use to draw with? I've been using #2 wood pencils for so long I've forgotten how what else there is that will give a drawing the bold sweep you get on the surfaces you mentioned. Part of the problem is making way for the coloring but you get so much more impact out of the contour sketch it amazes me!

All about experimenting i guess, i got the col-erase pencils so i can scribble at will then settle it down with a nice thick 2B mechanical lead and if i either fuck up the weight or just want bigger and bolder, i pick up a 5b pencil and let it rip.

Hummmmmmm, IIIIIIIIIIIII know someone who has a lot of different pencils like that..... I think I'll do a raid and see if they notice the ones you listed are gone. THANKS FER THE TIP!! Let's see what happens!!!!

Its a fun thing to do when you recieve your paycheck and you have nothing urgent to buy and just go to the art store to buy one from each kind of pencils then test them out at home. You might find some surprises or just more pencils lying around but hey it can be worth it. G luck man !

Yeah, I'll name this guy the next time I do him. I think I'm gonna use him for awhile! Don't worry about how much of a show you can put in with the art submissions. Going to school is a "past-time" that takes a lot out of your artistic endevors and, well, that's priority! O.K., I'll transfer a Turtle outta my sketchbook and color and post him for ya! If everyone likes it, I'll do the others! Phone Company screw-ups?! Don't get me started!!! It makes a good case against universal carry because I'm pretty sure I woulda raided the phone company a few times and emptied a few dozen magazines myself in the past if I'd been packing!!
