And on the subject of my last name being a furry term, it was initially kinda funny, but the joke wore itself out a while ago. I actually get a tad annoyed when the term "murr" is flung around so much by furries. I know they don't do it to offend me, but it just really annoys me now. It's like finding out if some one's last name they were proud of is a term for rape in some cultures.

I don't even know what "murr" means in a furry context. Have I been living too sheltered a life?

I only use furry slang in a joking manner or to be intentionally obnoxious. If actual furries use it otherwise, then they are a complete idiot. Many moons ago, I was at a furmeet and somebody was getting tickled, and they were going "yiff yiff," as if they were an actual fox. What a fucking moron.

Exactly. Furry slang is pretty dumb in general, but the use of murr just grinds my gears on such an enormous level.
