This is Laeryn, and no you're not reading wrong - while it acts and considers itself male, truely Laeryn is 'other', hermaphroditic. It's hard to tell on his specific species because of course everything is tucked up inside ;)

Anyhoo. He has a human.. ish .. form, sort of a 'neko' type if you will. But he doesn't turn into it ever... hardly ever.. because of his rider/owner. His owner, Alex, is a wonderful man and they have been together for more than half of Alex's life, of course they can communicate well enough, but Laeryn never tells of his ability to change.

One night Alex brings up the fact that at night while he's sleeping, he could swear that the pixies or fairies were playing games on him - kissing his forhead in his slumber, so he makes joking mention to capture one and sell it in town.

Well. Certainly not fairies ;) At night, in human form, longingly, Laeryn places a kiss on his owner's forhead. Though that night he was bold, too bold, and placed a kiss upon his lips. To Laeryn's shock, he was held into the kiss by force and then after the kiss ended, Alex reacted in an expected ammount of surprise. Alex didn't recognise Laeryn!

Of course Laeryn told him who he was.

But why did the dragon wait so many years? Because when a rider sees that form of thier dragon and choses to take it as a lover, said dragon naturally gets.. too overprotective and jealous. It's like a genetic fault, without thought, anyone who touches thier owner in a manor in any way aside from friendly will be killed, viciously.

So now Alex has to make a choice. To love the dragon he's secretly wished was somehow human alll his life, or to return to accepting this creature as just his dragon, nothing more, ever.



I'll draw his human form soone :3 It's basically the same colors but long brown hair, and wing tattoos on his shoulders instead of actual wings (plus a long tail :3)
