I made these two back in high school (I think maybe 2006-07?) And haven't really thought about them much ever since. Originally I had set their story in the 1950's because I was a little obsessed with Grease at the time. But I'm thinking late 80's might be better since I know more about the decade and like the aesthetic more. I know, SUPER mainstream of me, but hey it's still fun!
A little bit about them:
Terrence comes from a big family of other werewolves, but not everyone is related by blood. He's quite popular at school, being the football team's star running back. (More of a power back since he's pretty bulky as a human too) He's in his junior year and already starting to catch the attention of college recruiters for his football and academic talents. The scar on his face was not from a fellow werewolf, but from a football injury. A faulty helmet sent a piece of plastic across his face when he faceplanted on the field in freshman year. As a wolf, he is mostly dark grey and black with some areas of white and silver fur from his father's coat. His fur is very silky and thick, and the cubs in his family/pack love cuddling up with him because of this. His role within the pack will someday be to lead it, but he's unsure about this idea. He's been in the same town his whole life, and wants to get away. Staying and leading a pack for the rest of his life doesn't line up with his goals. As a human, he has black hair and tan skin. His heritage is mostly Italian and French. He's cocky, confident, knows he looks good, and is very popular at school. He wants to be a professional football player and go on to start a singing career after sport retirement. He plays guitar and collects insects for displays.
Mitch (not short for Mitchell) has only his mother and Terrence in his life. He's quiet, and not very good at making friends. He used to be picked on for his small size, but most everyone leaves him alone now. He's in his junior year, and not sure if he wants to go to college or not. His mother is frequently sick due to several ailments, so he wants to stay close to her. Since only his mother was a werewolf, he's considered a half-breed, and is susceptible to getting sick more often, cannot make a full change on some full moons, and can't maintain the same kind of stamina or strength as a full blooded wolf or even someone who was turned. As a wolf, he's much smaller than others, only gaining a few inches from his human height (not including slightly floppy ears) His fur is thinner, shorter tail, and smaller teeth. Because of his supposed genetics, the sclera of his eyes change to black when he is in his wolf form. His fur is a dirty reddish color with some tan patches, and slight speckling across his face and back. Since he is not part of a pack, he has no role to play, and instead takes care of his mother. As a human, he's fairly average for a high school kid his age. He has very pale skin, freckles, red hair and bright green eyes. Sometimes he needs to wear glasses while reading. His only friend is Terrence, but he's worried they might be drifting apart. He excels in biology, and loves studying and collecting insects like Terrence does. He's quiet, and very kind to others, but usually keeps to himself.
The relationship:
Mitch's mother came to America shortly after finding out she was pregnant, and stayed with her distant cousin. This cousin was a lone werewolf who lived near Terrence's family, but had no close ties (They'd offered to let him in but he always refused) Mitch was born in good health, but his mother's cousin passed away shortly after his third birthday. Without his help, it was difficult to raise Mitch on her own. So his mother turned to Terrence's pack for help. As a result, Mitch and Terrence have been close friends for almost their entire lives. Both of them have grown a mutual affection for each other, but have yet to make these feelings known. (Yes this is a story about werewolves in luv)
