The design and reference for  Salted_Caramel_Fox

There were few places as comfortable to the fox as behind the counter of the small local café he worked at, nothing more than a hole in the wall that made coffee for those in the know around the city.
Algernon was a hard man to read due to his placid smile and tired expression, but it hid a surprising depth and breadth of thought that you would find out if you managed to crack through his calm, although slightly distant demeanour.
His childhood, and now adulthood too was characterised by his striving for perfection, first in his coffee, then in learning each book in the small shop library that was available for the public to browse while enjoying their meals, and then finally in his pursuit of baking mastery, which was his longest and hardest pursuit yet.
What little free time he had left was split between fitness and gaming, and maybe it was their mutual love of fantasy, or his mouth watering brownies that kept Jayu coming back, either way, it wasn’t long before the two of them were spending more time outside the café together than in it.
