Biography: Swanhilda is one of the many 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being the twin sister to Shaquila. As she came a minute after Shaquila, Swanhilda is the younger twin of the two. Swanhilda grew to understand her father's job of protecting his homeland was not easy so she opted to learn how to fight like Shaquila did. However, she chose to take the mage route to compliement her physical orientated sister (Who only knows how to cast Thunder Magic as back up). Yet Swanhilda was not satisfied with just being a mage. Having a knack for crystal manipulation, she opted to become a shardbinder. The path to becoming a shardbinder however, was not easy. Swanhilda had to learn how to best handle her crystallomancy, and to handle the strain of her magical potential as a whole. As she received the powers of a shardbinder, Swanhilda went through one whole hour of such agonizing pain and once the ceremony completed, she was still alive and well, but in absolute pain, meaning there was no doubt Swanhilda would not abuse her new powers at all. However, Swanhilda would not be free of the agonizing pain until the day her grandmother Hoshi provided the cure Swanhilda so desperately needed (A dosage of pure arcane energy and an elder's love). With this, Swanhilda can now aid her family without anything to hold her back. She often joins Shaquila in taking quests in the Konosuba realm. While some are questionable, they nonetheless pay well, and Swanhilda continues to train and harness her new abilities. Swanhilda is just as loving & sociable as any of her siblings are. But, of those in the family, she has one the lowest pain tolerances ever, and this remains even after she was cured of the agony that plagued her for days. Even a friendly fist bump to the arm is enough to make her flinch. Swanhilda likes to get messy, but she prefers taking such baths in clay. However, like her sisters, she does not have patience for perverts and is often threatening Kazuma to use her crystalline powers on him should he step out of line. Cuts gemstones the best.
Abilities: Being 1/2 Mermaid, Swanhilda can activate her mermaid form whenever she enters the water so long as it's pure and clean. She, like those 16 and over, is not restricted to just the sea, rivers, or lakes. Swanhilda is a powerful Shardbinder in her own right. With skills in Crystallomancy, she is able to manipulate crystals at will and use them to either attack enemies, or to protect herself and allies. However, her line of Shardbinders is different in that she doesn't suffer from the effects of the Crystal Curse and that the shards she has to absorb in order to use their power do not come from demons. She actually chooses her targets for the magic power she would soon take in to be used for her leisure. However, Swanhilda doesn't have it all her way. Due to her low defense, absorbing shards causes her a lot of pain and is therefor left vulnerable for a small time until she recovers. As such, if she were to absorb too many shards at once, the pain becomes so unbearable for her she will be left writhing in agony for hours (Origionally 3 days) on end. Not fun at all. Being a magic based class, Swanhilda has higher mana and so can cast many powerful spells and still be in the game so to speak. Her magical abilities are as follows.
Diamond Staff: A staff made of solid diamond. Notoriously hard to craft, it serves as Swanhilda's main offensive weapon.
Crystallomancy: The magic power in using crystals to aid in battle whether to attack, or defend. Swanhilda learned this power on her own.
Pyromancy: The power of fire magic, obtained after absorbing a fire shard, which was the first shard Swanhilda absorbed. Swanhilda knows a handful of fire spells but is always looking to obtain and learn more.
Cryomancy: The power of ice magic, obtained after absorbing an ice shard. Swanhilda has access to ice that's so cold, even the hottest of flames are frozen.
Electromancy: The power of thunder magic, obtained after absorbing a thunder shard. Enables Swanhilda to use thunder magic.
Weapon Materialization: A shard that enables the power to create and materialize any weapon Swanhilda can think of. These include swords, lances, axes, and guns. They all seem to be German, or overall European in origin.
Bottomless Swamp: Learned from crystallizing one of Wiz's marshes and absorbing the shard containing the magic needed to cast the spell. Swanhilda can create a purple marsh that sinks targets within a wide radius.
Power Gem: Using her natural crystallomancy, Swanhilda creates a large gem and launches it at the opponent. Those hit by this gem become crystalized.
Healing Prism: Swanhilda creates a large prism from the ground that sends out a pulsating energy wave that heals allies within range.
