The Big Lots stores had the giant party straws for a few years as a seasonal item. Then stopped selling them altogether. Recently, some were located at Meijer on clearance in the kitchen wares aisle.

These are essential to staying hydrated and healthy when performing in fursuit. A carrier for these can be made from a length of PVC pipe and end caps for just a few dollars and few if any tools. Rinse out the inside of the pipe or push a sanitizing wipe through first before inserting your straws. You may even paint or decorate the carrier to suit your needs. I disguise mine as a walking staff or a baton.

When performing, I hand my carrier off to a handler to dispense a straw when a drink is needed. Sometimes a straw splits and needs replacement, so others are readily available. I manage to get through an event using no more than two straws.
