"Its body is covered in thick, rubbery skin rather than scales. A trait adapted in order to produce a protective layer of mucous, which masks its scent in the water. The long fleshy whiskers that grow from its snout assist in sensing changes in water pressure, and are extremely sensitive. This sense is so acute in this monster that it can snatch anything out of the water with such accuracy, it spends only 20 minutes hunting a day. The "sail" on its back is movable, much-like a fish fin, may lay smooth against its back to hide - or raise it to herd shoals of fish, or help steer it in the water..."
