The third in "thank you" ATC/ACEOs drawn for the fine folks who proofed my paper.
Highwing said I didn't have to draw a thing for him, but I'd already cut the paper by then! Besides, these little things are fun.
Wing's a fan of jellies but on the day I started drawing this my net was down so I couldn't find a reference of his favorite type so instead I looked through the pictures I took at the Monterey Bay Aquarium when the "Jellies: Living Art" exhibit was still there.
The best reference photo was of a purple-striped jelly (Chrysaora colorata) and by the time I had finished the initial sketch, my net was back. *eyeroll*
This was done in watercolor on Bristol board cut down to size with a little bit of white gel pen and some metallic blue colored pencil that doesn't show up in the scan at all but that's okay! The intent was to be subtle anyway. :)

Thanks!
I finally got his package all put together and sent out Monday so we'll see what he thinks when it gets there! (I guess I could always link him, but the physical version has some shiny that didn't scan into the digital!)
I know it was only meant to be a temporary exhibit in the first place and stayed longer than initially planned, but the Jellies: Living Art exhibit at the Aquarium was really cool. It's just an online exhibit now which is still pretty neat but nowhere near as cool as in person.
