A picture of a character I made up for a world my friend made up. <-< Her name is Caety and she's from sort of a desert like area. She used to be human. There's some pangolin, porcupine, kangaroo? and venomous snake or poisonous frog in there somewhere.

Not sure, the face itself is the part which prompted those thoughts. Possibly in combination with the arms/feet. But still, not sure.
Face mostly.
The eyes somewhat remind of Abe Sapien from Hellboy (the movies not the comic, in the comic he is much more styalised in the movies more fluid). Also, the eyeball hand monster from Pan's Labyrinth, somewhat. Possibly more the way that they are created and who is behind them.
It is probably something to do with the imagination and interpretation of monsters from the perspective of Guillermo del Toro. He is quite an interesting director, who really does like to be involved in the monster creation process. And there is something in this fellow which reminds me of his... well mind.
Anyway, not sure what to say. But, this creature is quite cool. Enjoyed the concept and had some rememberance of other cool designs as a result.
