The area is correct, the shot origination, though, also from Sandy Point, mind you with a fat telephoto lens. I’m more or less northeast of The bulk of the SanJuans. From Sandy Point I can look (if the weather is cooperating) right across to Duncan BC, practically a straight line. There are some marine preserve islands in between.
My part of the world certainly has its beauty. I can be at the shore of the Ocean, at the beginning of the day and be climbing a mountain by the end of it. In fact last summer, I paddled my kayak in the ocean early one morning, and had it in a mountain lake later that same day!!!
