No; it's just an icon styled after a gameboy color, and the sprite on screen is supposed to be a little reminiscent of the Pokemon GBC games (which are mostly what I used to play). Also, some special colors that GBC came in had official names, like "Atomic Purple" or "Neotones Ice," hence the naming in the title.
