I thought I saw a nine,
Sitting on a clothing line,
It asked for a spool of thread,
I gave it twine instead.

It said it needs a few,
It needs to scare away a nine,
And so it needs a dime.

I think I heard a three,
But I had to wait and see;
Into water it tried to dive,
So it can feel alive.
