My largest cast in one of these Walt Kelly redraws yet! This was the banner for a poem dedicated to the children and features the four most commonly seen kid characters from Pogo, Alabaster Alligator, the Grundoon Chile, the Rackety-Coon Chile, and the Pup Dog. Copying this revealed that the Rackety-Coon Chile got the most shading of any characters in Kelly's original, the sort of thing I hadn't noticed before. Also that he did this thing for the Rackety-Coon Chile that the pupils of his eyes weren't quite fitted into the circles of his eyes. For Kelly, that worked. For me, I don't know. Also, I'm getting to feel good about the pen settings and my ability to hatch lines here.
