Today my cousin Lisa introduced the Amabie (Ah-mah-bee-aye) yokai to me through an article. She's a little mermaid type creature that people are encouraged to look towards as a source of comfort during unfortunate times of disease.
I attempted a running pose with this first one, with the fishy legs lined up in a sequence of dashing forwards. The hair flying up gives the illusion that she also could be dropping downwards/underwater. It's up to the viewer to decide. That makes it fun!
