they love each other very much.

joking aside, these two are a funny pair. lenora being a farm raised, homegrown and self-efficient type girl, she was never really one to "fall" for anyone, not especially boys who act like they're suave and the universe should thank them for existing; the roguish type to know more about street smarts than how to make a girl smile and think about them all day.

leonidas is just the opposite.

in fact, patch is much more alike and akin to his father than he might even know! a rough boy who owned the streets pretty much- did i ever mention he has a good buddy in a sort of mafia styled gang? yep.
it really is a wonder how these two came to be, but once patch came around everything changed, whether it be for the better or worse. leonidas, or leonie, opted the good father life and stayed with lenora, helping her out with their spitfire hellborn son, and while they fell out of romantic feelings for one another, still held loyalty and a certain type of love only they'd understand.

(eventually they fall apart completely once patch moves out to terrorize the rest of the world, but lenora still loves leonie very much since they had a kid together and it's hard for her to move on!! leonie is very much enjoying his bachelor life again and wants the poor girl to finally put the coffin to bed and go out and enjoy herself HFVKJDHGG.) they would still take a bullet and bury a body for one another though, that's the one thing for sure.
