Fashionable redhead Jenet Lawson went to a night time celebration in the city during Lunar New Year and decided she needed show off the new dress she bought a few months ago thanks to some influence from her bestie Jessie and mutual friend Tasha with some help on style and design from her fiance. He seemed to have a specific interest in the colors and patterns which Jenet found herself drawn to as well. However, she felt something was missing, but not specifically from the outfit. She really liked thew open back design, but she felt if she was going to have her back exposed, she needed something to go with it, taking inspiration from one of her favorite characters Widowmaker from Overwatch. During a session with some friends while using Widow's "Black Lily" skin, she managed to get the Play of the Game with some clutch headshots. Jenet saw Widow's PotG cinematic which did a slow camera rise showing off Widow in her sniper's stance, focusing along her side and back. It was here Jenet noticed a nice stylized spider tattoo on her back, something Widow always had, so Jenet didn't think about it before until that moment seeing her wearing the stylish Qipao dress. Jenet then knew what she needed to not only compliment the dress, but her own appearance: a tattoo.
Jenet had always wanted to get a tattoo, but could never decide what she wanted, but deciding she wanted a back tattoo to compliment the dress, it helped her figure out what would be a good tattoo for herself and not just for wearing the dress. She managed to narrow it down when looking at designs and was again inspired by two specific things. The first being one of her favorite comic book characters Jean Grey and one of her favorite video game scenes where Locke says goodbye to his deceased love Rachel in Final Fantasy 6. What did the two have in common? The Phoenix. Jenet was always fascinated by the mythological creature that turned to ashes upon death only to be reborn again as a bird engulfed in fire. A symbol for the cycle of life and death and specifically rebirth. It started to occur to Jenet that her life had sort of experienced a rebirth of sorts in recent years. Before she met Jessie she was a tomboy and exploring her sexuality and interest in bondge, however she considered herself more of a switch leaning more towards a domme, especially with Jessie. When she broke up with Jessie she was in a strange place she hadn't been in before. Jenet had been in relationships that didn't go anywhere and breaking up was inevitable. On a few occasions a friendship still blossomed from it (her long time friend Lana being a perfect example), but it was different with Jessie as she struggled to continue with a friendship for a time after their breakup. For some reason she couldn't identify and still eludes her to this day, breaking up with Jessie was quite painful and even now she sometimes laments on what it would be like if they were still lovers. Jenet believes her life changed though during a fateful encounter at a Halloween party where she met one of Jessie's friends and sometimes play partner, Richard. After that everything changed for her. She rekindled her friendship with Jessie and started a relationship with Richard and since then everything has fallen into place for her. She has rediscovered herself and much like the Phoenix risen from the ashes of an uncertain future and loss of self.
That night Jenet was beaming and radiant and the joy she felt was bursting from the seems. Even Richard was surprised to see how much more happy and energetic she was compared to her usual self. As she posed for a photo to show off her dress and tattoo together, she thought to herself, "I am reborn! Come at me bitches!"
