Since before his birth, Sath was destined to stand out.
His mother had been cursed by another after a disputed, it was said that her son would wear the skin of serpents and see nothing but stone, the mother did not took the threat seriously, believing it to be the ravings of someone lost to madness. When he was finally born, Sath was not the same species as his parents. Instead of skin he had smooth scales akin to those of a serpent and his eyes would emit a beam that would entrap people in a casing of stone, much like the abilities of a Gorgon.
Throughout his life he was an outcast due to his appearance and his accursed ability. Wearing glasses worked until he was ten years old, but as he grew older so did his petrification gaze, forcing him to wear sturdy goggles to avoid causing more trouble and to forego blindness. Despite his attempts life would not be generous to him, he attempted to get jobs to be able to sustain himself, but these jobs would not last long, racial slurs and bullying were constantly present, he lived homeless most of the time and hunger was a constant.
At one point hunger was so extreme that he could not help himself and had to resort to cannibalism, attacking a vagrant and cooking his flesh to sustain himself. This however awakened a strange curiosity...Sath quickly began to attempt to learn cooking methods through various means.
His culinary and cannibalistic tendencies made him good friends with a brutish mutant named Richard and soon he'd be recruited by a mysterious man simply named Sloth.
Working for Sloth as a Body Guard for quite some time, Sath was able to open his own Restaurant to further Sloth's business...as well as having a secret place that would allow Sloth to dispose of the bodies of those that would get in his way. People sure never complained about the rich juicy meat from Sath's personal restaurant, The Chainsaw Buffet.
