I'm starting a new commission that should be lots of fun. He wants a modern day Anubis and Thoth playing jackals and hounds. Here's the rough layout and background ideas I've come up with. Now I wait to see which one he chooses. Just wanted to show off the roughs as I think they're interesting. And you can see how messy and rough my prelim sketches tend to be. at this point I'm not concerned about proportions or fine details just nailing down the layout. The customer gets this and picks the one he wants and adds in any thoughts he has. Once we've go the basics nailed down I will do the full sized refined sketch and send that along to him also for comments. The final will be 16x20. These are both on an 8.5x11 page.
