Episode 14: The Key of Flames and the Lovestruck Princess!
It was the next day after Tyson and the others got back from meeting Duran, Ignitus has finished deciphering the map, “I don’t believe it…this map leads to the lost Keys of the Ancient Masters, the greatest dragons to ever live! Let’s see…four keys; Fire, Ice, Earth, and Electricity, but these markings also say that the wielders of the ‘Lost Elements’ must be present to reveal the Ancestor’s Temple.”
“Lost Elements? What does it mean by that?” Rick asked.
“I’m guessing your elements, Void, Light, Water, Chaos, Fear, Wind, Poison, Shadow and Time.” Ignitus explained.
“It won’t be that easy my friend.” The Chronicler appeared out of a burst of light, “I have been researching the keys, even when our world was still whole. I have learned that these keys open a door to the past but could very well open a path into the UnderRealm if precautions aren’t taken. I don’t know why this door leads to the past but I do know that only Tyson and Cynder can enter the door. They are the strongest members of our team but we are needed to keep the door open. There are several statues hidden with the keys, each of which is connected to the elements. These statues are vital to locating the Ancestor’s Temple.”
“But look at these glowing symbols, these right here have Spyro, Cynder, a pure black symbol and a Fire symbol, I guess its Tyson and Cynder along with Ignitus for this key but who’s the fourth one?” Rick said.
“It must be Malefor’s power from the weapon Tyson received. These to the West are of Rick’s Void Element, Sophie’s Light Element, and my Ice Element.” Cyril said.
“These to the East are of Richard’s Water Element, Chronicler’s Time powers, and my Earth Element.” Terrador said.
“And the last ones are of my Electric Element but the other two symbols are unknown to me. One looks like twisting Fire and the other looks like a dragon shaped key?” Volteer said.
“Ooh-ooh, I know that one!! It’s me and Ember’s element when we work together!” Flame shouted.
“Who said you could come in here?” Sophie said.
“Aw, c’mon, we haven’t been on a mission yet with you guys and we wanna help!” Flame whined.
“That’s right; we want to be of some help too. Every day you all were gone on missions, Flame and I have been training in the dojo and we found out by working together and crossing our fire breaths would make a stronger attack! We really can help, please?” Ember said.
“Ignitus we can’t bring them on a mission…” Terrador said.
“We allowed Spyro to do very dangerous journeys…and he has always come through in the end. Very well, you may go with Volteer. But if we go for just one key at a time our enemy Red could obtain the others before we do.” Ignitus explained.
“So we must split into groups and retrieve the keys simultaneously. Where are Tyson and Cynder?” Chronicler said.
At the same time, Tyson is standing on the roof of the mansion staring out toward the city with the wind blowing at his back, Cynder finally finds him after searching the whole house.
“Tyson, there you are! C’mon we have to go!” she said. Tyson just stood there when Cynder walks up beside him and sees an envelope in his hand. Then a strong gust came in, Tyson held up the envelope and let it go! Cynder was about to fly up and catch it but Tyson stopped her.
“I can catch it just…”
“No, don’t worry about.” Tyson said.
“Who was it from?” Cynder asked.
“Actually, it’s for someone. A friend of mine, I’m sure my friend will receive it soon…” Tyson said as the little envelope vanished in the blue sky.
“C’mon, we need to start off for the Ling Zhou Province.” Cynder said pulling Tyson by the arm.
“Ohh man…” Tyson groaned. Later, Tyson actually worked up the nerve to call ahead to the Ling Zhou Castle to request entrance.
“Greetings, is there anything I may assist you with, sir?” the operator asked via the videophone screen.
“Yeah, I need entry clearance into the Province. There may be something there that the criminal Red Maximus could be after and we need to find it first.” Tyson said.
“May I have your name, sir?”
“Urg, Tyson Drakes.”
After a few moments the operator replies, “I’m sorry sir, but you are not allowed to enter the Province and any request to do so will be denied…*kick*” Suddenly someone flies in from the corner of the screen and nails the operator in the face with a kick just as Rick and Sophie walk in. Suddenly the last person Tyson wanted to see popped up…
“Hi, sweetie poo!” the Princess squealed.
“SWEETIE POO?! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YOU JUST LOST ANY AND ALL PRETENSES OF COOL, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!” Rick busted out laughing.
“OH SHUT UP RICK!!!” Tyson shouted as Sophie drags the still laughing Rick away by the collar of his vest.
“Tyson, who is this?” Cynder asked.
“Cynder, this is the Ling Zhou Province’s Princess, Lira. We need approval to enter the Province because of what happened the last time I was there.” Tyson explained.
“Oh sure, I’ll give you clearance.” A cardkey popped out of the console, “Have this with you when you arrive and you’ll be allowed in, see you when you arrive, hehehe!”
“Great…..I am not going to enjoy this.” Tyson groans. Later, after the team went over the plan they split up into four squads and headed off for the keys they were assigned to but Tyson was heading to the hanger while Cynder went after him.
“Tyson, stop messing around will ya?!” Cynder shouted.
“I’m not, I’m looking for Digit, we’re gonna need her to get to Ling Zhou, DIGIT, WHERE ARE YA?” Tyson shouts. Just as they pass by the Digger machine a rumbling noise comes out of nowhere from behind them, the Digger machine was blocking the door but then it started to do something weird. Parts began to spread apart, switch around, the drill separated and rose up as an arm came out of the other side, the treads lifted up as legs came down from the main body, then a dragon head formed at the top of the machine as it stood up with the drill for a right fist!
“Whoa, Digit, you work fast!” Tyson shouted.
“Thank you, Master Tyson. Even I was surprised to learn I was capable of doing this with machines. Is there something you need?” Digit said.
“Yeah, it’s time to test out your new ‘Jet’ mode. And we’ll need the large extra rear cockpit for Ignitus.” Tyson said. Digit transformed the Digger back and transferred over to her battle body just as Ignitus walked in.
“Tyson, are you sure that she will be able to carry all of us?” he asked.
“Yeah, the extra rear cockpit also doubles as a thrust and balance booster so it’s no problem carrying you along too.” Tyson explained. Digit backed her tail into the connector slot in the Booster Pod, when it clicked the booster flipped open and she combined with it to become even bigger, about 20 feet now. Digit stomped on all fours out the back opening and to the launching pad. She began to transform: her neck retracted into the body, two conjoined cockpits appeared above her head as it became the nose of the jet, three jet thrusters sprouted from the back as her tail splits apart and reconnects as a tail wing above the jets, her wings twisted down to her sides, spread out and locked in.
“Alright, hop in you two. Ug, time to head to Ling Zhou.” Tyson said. As Tyson, Cynder, and Ignitus got in, straps came down and crossed over their chests, safe to say that Ignitus isn’t used to this. Digit fired jets in the palms of her paws, lifted up and blasted the main jets just as she retracted her legs, Ignitus was pressed back against his seat….(heheheheh)

A few hours later they were more than halfway there, Tyson is nodding his head to the radio, Digit is scanning the systems and everything is in the green, Ignitus is still getting used to riding in a vehicle, Cynder is tapping her claw on the armrest occasionally glancing at Tyson.
“So, Tyson, what is the deal with you and the Princess?” Cynder asked.
“I kinda wished that you wouldn’t ask…okay, it was back when I was six, my mom took me to the Ling Zhou Province with her on a business venture of hers. Out of nowhere Princess Lira ends up falling head over heels lovestruck with me but I didn’t want anything to do with her, she didn’t get the message. The whole entire time we were there she kept popping out of nowhere and latching onto me, one day her dad happened to see her jump on me and he freaked out! He was ridiculously over-protective of her and thought that I was her boyfriend, and he didn’t want her to have one. He ran over to us, screamed at us and told us that we were never allowed to come back but I think that given the current situation, he’ll understand why we need to come back.” Tyson explains.
“So this Princess has feelings for you and…” Cynder said.
“It’s not like that Cynder; her dad won’t let her have a boyfriend so I guess she was desperate or something.” Tyson said.
“I’m sure that this will be resolved in due time, but how long are we from arriving?” Ignitus asked with a little queasiness in his voice.
“We’re moving at three times the speed of sound, the cockpits are designed to absorb and divert the intense g-forces of moving at this kind of speed to protect us, and we’re about and hour and a half away. It’s about 1500 miles away from Avalar City, what you feel queasy back there big guy? Oh yeah, I forgot that Cynder is the only one who has flown as super sonic speeds, and I can almost go that fast on my Ride Gears.” Tyson said as he messed with Ignitus by doing a barrel roll!
“Please do not do that again?!” As the time passed they reached to outer areas of the Ling Zhou Province, farm lands and marshes. Tyson actually slowed down for some kids who were running, trying to keep up with them, he pulled up and pulled off a loop-de-loop and sped away. Suddenly, Red’s flying mechs appear out of the clouds and begun shooting at them, Tyson pulled the triggers but nothing happened!
“I’m sorry but the weapon systems aren’t operational yet!” Digit said.
“You mean we’re sitting ducks! Hang on to yer lunch, time for some fancy flying!” Tyson was about to kick it into high gear when beam blasts ripped through the enemies! The blasts came from the Provinces air defense force, Sky Guard! A transmission was coming through from the leader.
“Do you have a clearance pass?” Tyson showed the pass Princess Lira gave them, “The royal symbol?! Allow us to escort you to the Province.” After that it was smooth sailing to the Province.
People were already crowding the landing strip as Tyson and the gang landed, then they all made a double take when Digit transformed. Then out of nowhere someone tackles Tyson and squeals, it’s the Princess…
“Gah, Princess get off me!” Tyson shouted.
“Ooh, I missed you hubby!” Lira squealed. Cynder’s eye begins to twitch…
Later after Tyson explained what’s happening, Lira takes them to the castle where sparks really start to fly, “I thought I told you that you weren’t ever allowed back here!”
“Listen, we’re just here to look for a key that our enemy is after. And if he gets here and gets the key first; who knows how many people will get hurt because of it, Mr. Kaiser!” Tyson said.
“Bah, there’s no such thing here. Leave now, or I’ll have you arrested for intruding into the Province and I’ll make sure you never get released!” Kaiser shouted.
“Daddy, I’m the one who gave Tyson permission to come here. He told me everything that’s happened and its all true, and he has the President on his side…” Lira explained.
“Fine…but if you go anywhere near my daughter I’ll toss you in prison!” Kaiser shouted.
“Actually you keep her away from me!! She’s the reason this mess between you and me started…I know I have to ask but we need to use the archives and the castle documents.” Tyson said.
“Never! Why do you need our information to look for something?” Kaiser said.
“Because we don’t know where the key is and its better we find out where it is before Red Maximus does!” Tyson explained.
“…Fine, I’ll allow you and the dragons to stay in the castle, the dragons will get our finest living accommodations and you’ll get whatever I feel like.” Kaiser growled.
“Don’t worry; you can stay with me in my room.” Lira offered.
“No thanks, I’m going to be with Cynder, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend now.” Tyson said and left with the others to the castle leaving Lira a little dumbfounded.
About an hour later they arrived at the Ling Zhou Castle, Kaiser walked through the front gate first with Tyson following him when suddenly a masked attacker dropped down from the left and swung his katana at him, Tyson easily dodged the attack but the guy came at him again, Tyson ducked and sidestepped but it seemed that this guy knew his every move except when Tyson summoned Convexity Fang by accident instead of Royal Legacy and the attacker connected with it and was blown away!
“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF….” Suddenly Kaiser just froze just as Lira did, and stared at Convexity Fang, “That’s…the Sacred Sword!!! How did you get it!?”
“I found it while on a mission in the Frost Mountains.” Tyson said.
“YOU LIE, you must have stolen it!” Kaiser shouted.
“No, I didn’t, it’s a Dragon Arm and I’m the only one who can use them. And who the heck are you?” Tyson said.
“I am the Princesses Guard…and I’ve read about your last visit here, I will not allow you to come anywhere near the Princess!!”
“That voice…I thought that it was weird that some random guy could tell every one of my moves…Kain Hayabusa you jerk!!” Tyson growled.
“You could tell it was me?!” Kain said.
“Only one guy could match me move for move back at the Mong Shen Temple and that was you! And what’s with the mask?” Tyson said.
“The Princesses Guards all wear masks, we are not worthy of showing our faces to her.” Kain explained.
“Guard, stop attacking him, he’s here on royal permission from me.” Lira said. Kain sheathed his katana and kneeled in front of her.
“As you wish, Princess.” Kain said with a solemn tone, which was way out of his character.
Nighttime came but Kaiser won’t let Tyson and the others into the Castle Documents Chamber, says he has some caretakers inside making sure everything is in order after some lame wannabe thieves tried to steal most of the documents a couple of weeks ago and said to wait until morning. So now Tyson is walking back to the bedroom where Cynder is when Lira pops out of nowhere!
“Lira what are you doing?!” Tyson asks.
“Just getting a better look at you…wow, you really have grown! Back then, you were shorter than me but now you’re towering over me!” Lira said.
“Heh, after all this time you still haven’t gotten over me!? You know your dad doesn’t like me being anywhere near you…and I know you’re hiding up there Kain! I’m not trying to hurt her or anything; I’m actually trying to avoid her!” Tyson said.
“I was given orders by Master Kaiser to keep watch over you.” Kain said.
Tyson rolls his eyes, shrugs it off, and walks off, “Goodnight…if you’re done playing watchdog by morning we could use your help finding the information about the Key that’s hidden here somewhere Kain.” After Tyson disappears around the corner, Kain jumped down and walked the Princess to her bedroom, but whenever she looks at him he turns his face away.
“Well, goodnight Kain. Don’t think of Tyson as an enemy…and I don’t think of anybody as unworthy to show their face, that’s just something my father made up because he doesn’t want me to get married.” Lira explained as she closed the door to her room.
Morning came and Tyson’s jaw dropped when he saw just how many documents there were. Kain actually showed up!
“That a surprise! You can go with Ignitus to check the archives while Cynder and I go through these.” Tyson said.
“The black dragoness can go with the Elder Dragon; I will remain here to keep watch on you, Tyson!” Kain said.
“Fine, whatever.” Tyson groaned.
“Well, let’s stay in contact so we can let each other know if we’ve found anything.” Cynder said, “And I better not find you two fighting or anything!”

“*sigh* Let’s get worked!” What seemed like hours was only a few minutes of scanning through books and scrolls, but Kain isn’t doing anything but stare at Tyson.
“Kain!”
“Oh, Princess?”
“Tyson had asked you to help him and you’re just going to stand there?”
“Of course not, Princess, but what are you doing here?” Kain asked.
“I’m here to help too.” Lira skipped over to a shelf near Tyson and peeked at him and he just buried his face in the book he had.
Now hours passed as Tyson, Kain and Lira pulls anything off the shelves that looks like it could help. Tyson suddenly screams and freaks out, messes up his hair and slams his head on the desk!!! Did I forget to mention that Tyson hates research!!
At the Archives Cynder and Ignitus are combing through centuries worth of history but haven’t found anything. Hours passed and Tyson has started hanging upside-down from the ceiling rafters and has Poltergeist Clones all over the place, Kain is scanning scrolls with Lira and I swear you could see him blushing! Cynder is hovering in midair with one book in each hand and two wrapped in her tail, Ignitus, with his abilities as a Chronicler, had a dozen books floating around him and I swear he was getting dizzy.
Lunch had already passed and Tyson didn’t even notice Kain and Lira had left and come back, a few minutes later Tyson comes back with a ham and cheese sandwich in his mouth and got back to going through book after book…this is why Tyson hates researching stuff; he gets way to into it and zombies out and he doesn’t stop until he passes out. Something just isn’t right about this…Lira has been in here several times and knows where anything and everything is and she noticed that a lot of the documents are missing and she has seen something about a Key of some sort in some of these books and those are the ones that are missing…
*snore….snore….snore* Yep, Tyson’s out cold.
“I just don’t get it? Why are there documents missing?” Lira groaned.
“Princess, it’d be best if you leave and get some rest.” Kain said.
“Alright…take Tyson to his bedroom will you?” Lira asked, “And you better get him before he falls off that thing up there!”
Later Kain is hauling Tyson to the room when Cynder and Ignitus get back. Same thing with them, nothing. Tyson woke up half an hour later and walked with Cynder to the hot spring out back. Waiting by the door was Kain and he looked like he wanted to talk to Tyson, alone. They met up on top of a roof of a building in the Province.
“Alright, what is it you wanted to talk to me about?” Tyson asked.
“………the Sacred Sword…hand it over.” Kain said.
“Convexity Fang, you’re out of luck.” Tyson said.
“Give me the sword, only a true warrior may wield it. And you aren’t worthy of it!” Kain demanded.
“That’s not what I mean; I’m the only one who can even TOUCH it.” Tyson said.
“But you haven’t tried me…” Kain said.
“No, unless you’re part dragon like I am the same things gonna happen to you that happened to my little brother Carter.” Tyson explained as he Dragon Triggered.
“What do you mean?” Kain asked stunned and stupefied at the same time.
“A couple of weeks ago Carter got into my room back home and tried to mess with another one of my Dragon Arms, a fire weapon Axelagon. And then all we heard was him screaming, I swear that was the fastest I had ever run in my life. When we found him his right hand was burned a little bit.” Tyson explained.
“Because of the flames, but the Sacred Sword has no elemental powers…” Kain said.
“But that’s not all, before that he tried to grab my first Dragon Arm, Royal Legacy, and the same thing happened with his left hand. That Arm had no element either and that’s why you’re not getting Convexity Fang, it’s one of my strongest Arms and who knows what’ll happen if you touch it, it could blow you up for all I know!!” Tyson said.
“No matter, I will have that sword.” Kain said.
“One thing though, why are you doing something like this? Working as a guard and taking orders……it’s because of the Princess, isn’t it?” Tyson asked. Kain was already gone; looks like Tyson hit the right chord…
After everyone else had gone to bed, Kain was patrolling the hallways when he found Lira peeking at Tyson and Cynder, “Princess, is everything alright?”
“Oh Kain, I was just looking at them…they look happy to have each other don’t they?” Lira said. Kain looked at them to and the sternness in his eyes seemed to fade; now he sees that Tyson is nothing like Kaiser says he’s like. After walking Lira back to her bedroom Kain is about to return to patrolling the halls when Lira yanks him into her room!!
“So Kain, how do you know Tyson? I heard him say something about the Mong Shen Temple.” Lira asked.
“Yes, he and I trained there a few years back. He and I were almost mirror images when we sparred, move for move, everything.” Kain explained.
“So you’re rivals?” Lira said.
“Something like that…but when he left I stayed, determined to become better then him.” Kain said.
“Y’know, I’ve noticed how you turn away when I look at you and…”
“Goodnight, Princess, I have to get back to my patrol.” Kain said as he walked out.
“Teehee, he likes me…” Lira snikered.
Morning came again and still there was no luck, not even with the elder scroll keepers, something just isn’t right about this. Tyson is lying on the top roof of the castle watching the clouds when they suddenly turned black and angry!
“Father…I know you took the documents and the information about the Keys of Legend, why are you doing this?” Lira asked.
“Because they do not deserve to learn about something as sacred and powerful as the Keys of Legend, especially that outsider Drakes!” Kaiser said.
“Father you just don’t understand, Tyson and his friends are trying to save the world and all you’re doing is stopping them from doing that! That’s why I hate you; you’re always keeping me locked away from the world and other people. I’m not your personal treasure to keep sealed away, I want a boyfriend, I want to find love, and I want to get MARRIED!!! That’s what Mother wanted for me…” Lira said.
“But Lira, I’m only protecting…”
“You’re not protecting me; you’re only protecting your status and image….do you even really care about me?” Lira said. Kaiser was just about to say something when something comes crashing down through the roof and into the floor!
“Ow…that was a cheap shot!” It was Tyson in his Dragon Trigger form, just then a lightning bolt tore through the roof and blasted Tyson across the room and into the wall right next to Kaiser, “OKAY, THAT’S IT! NOW YOU’RE GETTING YOUR TAIL KICKED!!” Tyson roars out of the hole and soars up back through the roof.

Lightning covered the sky above the castle and formed the body of an electric monster!
“I am the Alien King, surrender the Key to me and I shall destroy this place and its people without pain!” he demanded. Tyson flew up but he looked like an ant compared to this guy in his face but with a punch to the face the difference in size and strength became obvious. The Alien King reeled back up and blasted Tyson and sent him flying all the way to the main park and into the fountain. The Alien looked down and spotted Lira and was about to attack her when Kain swoops in and snatches her up before the bolt hit. Cynder and Ignitus flew around his head blasting him with Poison and Fire to blind him as Tyson got back to the fight he clenched his right fist and focused energy into it. His fist suddenly became even bigger as he reached back, “Rocket Earth Straight!” He swung his fist and the energy launched off his gauntlet in the form of a fist toward the Alien and explodes in his face and sends him flying into the giant open field behind the castle. The Alien then transforms into something like a lightning serpent, snakes through the air around Tyson’s charged shots and was about to chomp him when suddenly a light arrow comes flying past the Alien! He dodges it but the arrow actually curves around and flies right into the Alien’s face! Only one weapon can do that, Avalon Star!
“Haha, Hunter you big furball where have you been?” Tyson shouts. Hunter vanished a few weeks ago and took Avalon Star with him.
“It’s good to see you again as well my friend. I had left to train and hone my skills but I am not here alone…” Hunter said. The Alien King tried to sneak up on Tyson when a huge fireball shot out from behind Hunter and nailed him right down the throat, “I’d like you to meet my friend and our new ally, Bianca.” She walked up from behind Hunter; she had rabbit ears and the tail too, a wand and a hooded cloak. She was all rabbit…nice. Suddenly Kain comes out of nowhere, leaping off the roof and tried to ram his sword into the Alien King’s head but was smashed away with a single swipe of the arm, Tyson swoops in and switches to Convexity Fang and changes forms but the Alien King creates a lightning sword and blocks Tyson! Tyson wheeled around and launched a Sonic Boom but the Alien King countered with a Thunder Sonic Boom. Kaiser couldn’t believe his eyes, the Dragon of Legend was Tyson and what the documents said had come true, the Dragon of Legend shall battle with the lightning of the stars for the Key of Legend. Tyson swoops in and tries to slash the Alien but got hit with a punch and Convexity Fang was knocked out of his hand, Tyson crashed into the top spire of the castle. Kain shook off the pain and noticed Convexity Fang in front of him…
Cynder flew in under the Alien King and unleashed her Fear Fury Attack: Hyper Terror Song, and blasted him upwards! Just then lightning struck the top of the castle, Tyson stood up with lightning bolts shaped like dragons hovering around him; his pistols were switched out for two thunderbolt shaped guns, Thundraguns! Tyson jumped up and every time he shot at the Alien lightning bolts replaced energy bullets and the lightning dragons flew at the Alien King in sync with the shots. Tyson fired one Charge Shot that loosed a massive bolt and ten lightning dragons appeared at once and flew at Alien. When the smoke cleared his body was torn up but it was the shell of the destroyed parts of his body, what was intact appeared behind Tyson and smashed him down towards the ground. The Alien King’s body began to glow, it was trying to self-destruct and take the entire Province with it! Tyson charged both his guns, lightning surged around him as if Mother Nature herself was helping too! The Alien King dive-bombed at Tyson with his ugly maw wide open, Tyson pulls the triggers and a massive bolt erupts from the barrels of his guns into a humongous lightning dragon that makes contact in his mouth and bursts out of the other side of his head.
*BOOM* The Alien King blew up and went out with a whimper instead of a bang. Tyson fell and fell and fell until, *CRASH* he crashed into the ground.
Cynder, Ignitus, and everyone else rushed to where Tyson landed to find him exhausted but alive, “Oww, remind me never to do that again…ow.” Cynder helps him out of his crater and leans him up against the wall as he changed back to normal. As Lira walks up to them something rustles in the wreckage of the castle, suddenly the head of the Alien King shoots out and was about to kill Lira when, “HYYAHHH!!!!” In an instant the Alien King’s head or what was left of it was cut in two and faded away. In front of Lira was Kain…with Convexity Fang!! Smoke was coming from his hand as he turned around to Lira.
“Are you alright, Princess?” he asked.
“Kain…you…saved me…” Lira gasped.
“At least you’re unhurt…” Kain let Convexity Fang slip from his hand as it returned to Tyson. Suddenly he lurches back and hits the ground. The burns are bad but Tyson notices something but decides to keep it to himself for now.
“KAIN…Kain are you alright?” Lira rushed to his side and propped him up in her lap.
“Princess…as long as you are unharmed then I am happy. I remember the promise that Tyson and I had made before he left, that we would train to protect those who are important to us. He has Lady Cynder…but who do I have? I never knew my parents…and I don’t have anyone who cares about me…” Kain said.
“You’re wrong Kain; you do have someone who cares about…me.” Lira said.
“But Princess I…” Lira put her finger over his mouth.
“I knew you liked me because you always turned away when I looked at you but my Father kept you from telling me about your feelings.” Lira began to pull his face mask off.
“Princess, don’t…I can’t show you…”
“No, I want to see your face…” Lira removed his mask, raised him up closer to her…and quietly kissed him.
“Drakes…I had removed the information about the Key that you were looking for…I had thought you were just a worthless vagabond but I was wrong. The other reason is because……my daughter holds the Key of Flames within her.” Kaiser admitted.
“WHAT?!” Everyone shouted in unison, even Lira!!
“That is why I was so strict about whom you ever got involved with, I’m sorry I never told you about it but I wasn’t sure about how you would react…” Kaiser said.
“Father…how do I give the Key to Tyson?” Lira asked.
“Raise your hands as Tyson raises his sword and the Key will appear.” Kaiser said.
Lira raises her arms and out of nowhere from behind the castle, four giant dragons statues taller than the castle itself broke out of the ground, each statue had a different colored gemstone in their chests. Tyson raises Royal Legacy and as the blade began to shine a burst of flames poured out of Lira’s body and shot up into the sky, a small fireball slowly drifted down to Tyson. As he took hold of it the flames vanished and a red stone with fire swirling inside it appeared. Just then the gemstones on the statues lit up and a beam of light shot out of each one, Tyson and everyone else looked toward the direction the light beams were heading in and saw several other different colored beams appear as if at the same time as the ones in the Province and connect at the same point…at Avalar City!!
“Well I guess that means that everyone else found their Keys! Well I guess we’re leaving early, Kain you better take care of Lira you hear!!” Tyson joked.
“Of course, with my life!” Kain said. As Tyson and the others were leaving, Tyson looks back at Kain and sees a familiar looking aura around him, almost like Tyson’s when he first awakened his powers….wonder what it could mean?

It was the next day after Tyson and the others got back from meeting Duran, Ignitus has finished deciphering the map, “I don’t believe it…this map leads to the lost Keys of the Ancient Masters, the greatest dragons to ever live! Let’s see…four keys; Fire, Ice, Earth, and Electricity, but these markings also say that the wielders of the ‘Lost Elements’ must be present to reveal the Ancestor’s Temple.”
“Lost Elements? What does it mean by that?” Rick asked.
“I’m guessing your elements, Void, Light, Water, Chaos, Fear, Wind, Poison, Shadow and Time.” Ignitus explained.
“It won’t be that easy my friend.” The Chronicler appeared out of a burst of light, “I have been researching the keys, even when our world was still whole. I have learned that these keys open a door to the past but could very well open a path into the UnderRealm if precautions aren’t taken. I don’t know why this door leads to the past but I do know that only Tyson and Cynder can enter the door. They are the strongest members of our team but we are needed to keep the door open. There are several statues hidden with the keys, each of which is connected to the elements. These statues are vital to locating the Ancestor’s Temple.”
“But look at these glowing symbols, these right here have Spyro, Cynder, a pure black symbol and a Fire symbol, I guess its Tyson and Cynder along with Ignitus for this key but who’s the fourth one?” Rick said.
“It must be Malefor’s power from the weapon Tyson received. These to the West are of Rick’s Void Element, Sophie’s Light Element, and my Ice Element.” Cyril said.
“These to the East are of Richard’s Water Element, Chronicler’s Time powers, and my Earth Element.” Terrador said.
“And the last ones are of my Electric Element but the other two symbols are unknown to me. One looks like twisting Fire and the other looks like a dragon shaped key?” Volteer said.
“Ooh-ooh, I know that one!! It’s me and Ember’s element when we work together!” Flame shouted.
“Who said you could come in here?” Sophie said.
“Aw, c’mon, we haven’t been on a mission yet with you guys and we wanna help!” Flame whined.
“That’s right; we want to be of some help too. Every day you all were gone on missions, Flame and I have been training in the dojo and we found out by working together and crossing our fire breaths would make a stronger attack! We really can help, please?” Ember said.
“Ignitus we can’t bring them on a mission…” Terrador said.
“We allowed Spyro to do very dangerous journeys…and he has always come through in the end. Very well, you may go with Volteer. But if we go for just one key at a time our enemy Red could obtain the others before we do.” Ignitus explained.
“So we must split into groups and retrieve the keys simultaneously. Where are Tyson and Cynder?” Chronicler said.
At the same time, Tyson is standing on the roof of the mansion staring out toward the city with the wind blowing at his back, Cynder finally finds him after searching the whole house.
“Tyson, there you are! C’mon we have to go!” she said. Tyson just stood there when Cynder walks up beside him and sees an envelope in his hand. Then a strong gust came in, Tyson held up the envelope and let it go! Cynder was about to fly up and catch it but Tyson stopped her.
“I can catch it just…”
“No, don’t worry about.” Tyson said.
“Who was it from?” Cynder asked.
“Actually, it’s for someone. A friend of mine, I’m sure my friend will receive it soon…” Tyson said as the little envelope vanished in the blue sky.
“C’mon, we need to start off for the Ling Zhou Province.” Cynder said pulling Tyson by the arm.
“Ohh man…” Tyson groaned. Later, Tyson actually worked up the nerve to call ahead to the Ling Zhou Castle to request entrance.
“Greetings, is there anything I may assist you with, sir?” the operator asked via the videophone screen.
“Yeah, I need entry clearance into the Province. There may be something there that the criminal Red Maximus could be after and we need to find it first.” Tyson said.
“May I have your name, sir?”
“Urg, Tyson Drakes.”
After a few moments the operator replies, “I’m sorry sir, but you are not allowed to enter the Province and any request to do so will be denied…*kick*” Suddenly someone flies in from the corner of the screen and nails the operator in the face with a kick just as Rick and Sophie walk in. Suddenly the last person Tyson wanted to see popped up…
“Hi, sweetie poo!” the Princess squealed.
“SWEETIE POO?! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YOU JUST LOST ANY AND ALL PRETENSES OF COOL, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!” Rick busted out laughing.
“OH SHUT UP RICK!!!” Tyson shouted as Sophie drags the still laughing Rick away by the collar of his vest.
“Tyson, who is this?” Cynder asked.
“Cynder, this is the Ling Zhou Province’s Princess, Lira. We need approval to enter the Province because of what happened the last time I was there.” Tyson explained.
“Oh sure, I’ll give you clearance.” A cardkey popped out of the console, “Have this with you when you arrive and you’ll be allowed in, see you when you arrive, hehehe!”
“Great…..I am not going to enjoy this.” Tyson groans. Later, after the team went over the plan they split up into four squads and headed off for the keys they were assigned to but Tyson was heading to the hanger while Cynder went after him.
“Tyson, stop messing around will ya?!” Cynder shouted.
“I’m not, I’m looking for Digit, we’re gonna need her to get to Ling Zhou, DIGIT, WHERE ARE YA?” Tyson shouts. Just as they pass by the Digger machine a rumbling noise comes out of nowhere from behind them, the Digger machine was blocking the door but then it started to do something weird. Parts began to spread apart, switch around, the drill separated and rose up as an arm came out of the other side, the treads lifted up as legs came down from the main body, then a dragon head formed at the top of the machine as it stood up with the drill for a right fist!
“Whoa, Digit, you work fast!” Tyson shouted.
“Thank you, Master Tyson. Even I was surprised to learn I was capable of doing this with machines. Is there something you need?” Digit said.
“Yeah, it’s time to test out your new ‘Jet’ mode. And we’ll need the large extra rear cockpit for Ignitus.” Tyson said. Digit transformed the Digger back and transferred over to her battle body just as Ignitus walked in.
“Tyson, are you sure that she will be able to carry all of us?” he asked.
“Yeah, the extra rear cockpit also doubles as a thrust and balance booster so it’s no problem carrying you along too.” Tyson explained. Digit backed her tail into the connector slot in the Booster Pod, when it clicked the booster flipped open and she combined with it to become even bigger, about 20 feet now. Digit stomped on all fours out the back opening and to the launching pad. She began to transform: her neck retracted into the body, two conjoined cockpits appeared above her head as it became the nose of the jet, three jet thrusters sprouted from the back as her tail splits apart and reconnects as a tail wing above the jets, her wings twisted down to her sides, spread out and locked in.
“Alright, hop in you two. Ug, time to head to Ling Zhou.” Tyson said. As Tyson, Cynder, and Ignitus got in, straps came down and crossed over their chests, safe to say that Ignitus isn’t used to this. Digit fired jets in the palms of her paws, lifted up and blasted the main jets just as she retracted her legs, Ignitus was pressed back against his seat….(heheheheh)

A few hours later they were more than halfway there, Tyson is nodding his head to the radio, Digit is scanning the systems and everything is in the green, Ignitus is still getting used to riding in a vehicle, Cynder is tapping her claw on the armrest occasionally glancing at Tyson.
“So, Tyson, what is the deal with you and the Princess?” Cynder asked.
“I kinda wished that you wouldn’t ask…okay, it was back when I was six, my mom took me to the Ling Zhou Province with her on a business venture of hers. Out of nowhere Princess Lira ends up falling head over heels lovestruck with me but I didn’t want anything to do with her, she didn’t get the message. The whole entire time we were there she kept popping out of nowhere and latching onto me, one day her dad happened to see her jump on me and he freaked out! He was ridiculously over-protective of her and thought that I was her boyfriend, and he didn’t want her to have one. He ran over to us, screamed at us and told us that we were never allowed to come back but I think that given the current situation, he’ll understand why we need to come back.” Tyson explains.
“So this Princess has feelings for you and…” Cynder said.
“It’s not like that Cynder; her dad won’t let her have a boyfriend so I guess she was desperate or something.” Tyson said.
“I’m sure that this will be resolved in due time, but how long are we from arriving?” Ignitus asked with a little queasiness in his voice.
“We’re moving at three times the speed of sound, the cockpits are designed to absorb and divert the intense g-forces of moving at this kind of speed to protect us, and we’re about and hour and a half away. It’s about 1500 miles away from Avalar City, what you feel queasy back there big guy? Oh yeah, I forgot that Cynder is the only one who has flown as super sonic speeds, and I can almost go that fast on my Ride Gears.” Tyson said as he messed with Ignitus by doing a barrel roll!
“Please do not do that again?!” As the time passed they reached to outer areas of the Ling Zhou Province, farm lands and marshes. Tyson actually slowed down for some kids who were running, trying to keep up with them, he pulled up and pulled off a loop-de-loop and sped away. Suddenly, Red’s flying mechs appear out of the clouds and begun shooting at them, Tyson pulled the triggers but nothing happened!
“I’m sorry but the weapon systems aren’t operational yet!” Digit said.
“You mean we’re sitting ducks! Hang on to yer lunch, time for some fancy flying!” Tyson was about to kick it into high gear when beam blasts ripped through the enemies! The blasts came from the Provinces air defense force, Sky Guard! A transmission was coming through from the leader.
“Do you have a clearance pass?” Tyson showed the pass Princess Lira gave them, “The royal symbol?! Allow us to escort you to the Province.” After that it was smooth sailing to the Province.
People were already crowding the landing strip as Tyson and the gang landed, then they all made a double take when Digit transformed. Then out of nowhere someone tackles Tyson and squeals, it’s the Princess…
“Gah, Princess get off me!” Tyson shouted.
“Ooh, I missed you hubby!” Lira squealed. Cynder’s eye begins to twitch…
Later after Tyson explained what’s happening, Lira takes them to the castle where sparks really start to fly, “I thought I told you that you weren’t ever allowed back here!”
“Listen, we’re just here to look for a key that our enemy is after. And if he gets here and gets the key first; who knows how many people will get hurt because of it, Mr. Kaiser!” Tyson said.
“Bah, there’s no such thing here. Leave now, or I’ll have you arrested for intruding into the Province and I’ll make sure you never get released!” Kaiser shouted.
“Daddy, I’m the one who gave Tyson permission to come here. He told me everything that’s happened and its all true, and he has the President on his side…” Lira explained.
“Fine…but if you go anywhere near my daughter I’ll toss you in prison!” Kaiser shouted.
“Actually you keep her away from me!! She’s the reason this mess between you and me started…I know I have to ask but we need to use the archives and the castle documents.” Tyson said.
“Never! Why do you need our information to look for something?” Kaiser said.
“Because we don’t know where the key is and its better we find out where it is before Red Maximus does!” Tyson explained.
“…Fine, I’ll allow you and the dragons to stay in the castle, the dragons will get our finest living accommodations and you’ll get whatever I feel like.” Kaiser growled.
“Don’t worry; you can stay with me in my room.” Lira offered.
“No thanks, I’m going to be with Cynder, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend now.” Tyson said and left with the others to the castle leaving Lira a little dumbfounded.
About an hour later they arrived at the Ling Zhou Castle, Kaiser walked through the front gate first with Tyson following him when suddenly a masked attacker dropped down from the left and swung his katana at him, Tyson easily dodged the attack but the guy came at him again, Tyson ducked and sidestepped but it seemed that this guy knew his every move except when Tyson summoned Convexity Fang by accident instead of Royal Legacy and the attacker connected with it and was blown away!
“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF….” Suddenly Kaiser just froze just as Lira did, and stared at Convexity Fang, “That’s…the Sacred Sword!!! How did you get it!?”
“I found it while on a mission in the Frost Mountains.” Tyson said.
“YOU LIE, you must have stolen it!” Kaiser shouted.
“No, I didn’t, it’s a Dragon Arm and I’m the only one who can use them. And who the heck are you?” Tyson said.
“I am the Princesses Guard…and I’ve read about your last visit here, I will not allow you to come anywhere near the Princess!!”
“That voice…I thought that it was weird that some random guy could tell every one of my moves…Kain Hayabusa you jerk!!” Tyson growled.
“You could tell it was me?!” Kain said.
“Only one guy could match me move for move back at the Mong Shen Temple and that was you! And what’s with the mask?” Tyson said.
“The Princesses Guards all wear masks, we are not worthy of showing our faces to her.” Kain explained.
“Guard, stop attacking him, he’s here on royal permission from me.” Lira said. Kain sheathed his katana and kneeled in front of her.
“As you wish, Princess.” Kain said with a solemn tone, which was way out of his character.
Nighttime came but Kaiser won’t let Tyson and the others into the Castle Documents Chamber, says he has some caretakers inside making sure everything is in order after some lame wannabe thieves tried to steal most of the documents a couple of weeks ago and said to wait until morning. So now Tyson is walking back to the bedroom where Cynder is when Lira pops out of nowhere!
“Lira what are you doing?!” Tyson asks.
“Just getting a better look at you…wow, you really have grown! Back then, you were shorter than me but now you’re towering over me!” Lira said.
“Heh, after all this time you still haven’t gotten over me!? You know your dad doesn’t like me being anywhere near you…and I know you’re hiding up there Kain! I’m not trying to hurt her or anything; I’m actually trying to avoid her!” Tyson said.
“I was given orders by Master Kaiser to keep watch over you.” Kain said.
Tyson rolls his eyes, shrugs it off, and walks off, “Goodnight…if you’re done playing watchdog by morning we could use your help finding the information about the Key that’s hidden here somewhere Kain.” After Tyson disappears around the corner, Kain jumped down and walked the Princess to her bedroom, but whenever she looks at him he turns his face away.
“Well, goodnight Kain. Don’t think of Tyson as an enemy…and I don’t think of anybody as unworthy to show their face, that’s just something my father made up because he doesn’t want me to get married.” Lira explained as she closed the door to her room.
Morning came and Tyson’s jaw dropped when he saw just how many documents there were. Kain actually showed up!
“That a surprise! You can go with Ignitus to check the archives while Cynder and I go through these.” Tyson said.
“The black dragoness can go with the Elder Dragon; I will remain here to keep watch on you, Tyson!” Kain said.
“Fine, whatever.” Tyson groaned.
“Well, let’s stay in contact so we can let each other know if we’ve found anything.” Cynder said, “And I better not find you two fighting or anything!”

“*sigh* Let’s get worked!” What seemed like hours was only a few minutes of scanning through books and scrolls, but Kain isn’t doing anything but stare at Tyson.
“Kain!”
“Oh, Princess?”
“Tyson had asked you to help him and you’re just going to stand there?”
“Of course not, Princess, but what are you doing here?” Kain asked.
“I’m here to help too.” Lira skipped over to a shelf near Tyson and peeked at him and he just buried his face in the book he had.
Now hours passed as Tyson, Kain and Lira pulls anything off the shelves that looks like it could help. Tyson suddenly screams and freaks out, messes up his hair and slams his head on the desk!!! Did I forget to mention that Tyson hates research!!
At the Archives Cynder and Ignitus are combing through centuries worth of history but haven’t found anything. Hours passed and Tyson has started hanging upside-down from the ceiling rafters and has Poltergeist Clones all over the place, Kain is scanning scrolls with Lira and I swear you could see him blushing! Cynder is hovering in midair with one book in each hand and two wrapped in her tail, Ignitus, with his abilities as a Chronicler, had a dozen books floating around him and I swear he was getting dizzy.
Lunch had already passed and Tyson didn’t even notice Kain and Lira had left and come back, a few minutes later Tyson comes back with a ham and cheese sandwich in his mouth and got back to going through book after book…this is why Tyson hates researching stuff; he gets way to into it and zombies out and he doesn’t stop until he passes out. Something just isn’t right about this…Lira has been in here several times and knows where anything and everything is and she noticed that a lot of the documents are missing and she has seen something about a Key of some sort in some of these books and those are the ones that are missing…
*snore….snore….snore* Yep, Tyson’s out cold.
“I just don’t get it? Why are there documents missing?” Lira groaned.
“Princess, it’d be best if you leave and get some rest.” Kain said.
“Alright…take Tyson to his bedroom will you?” Lira asked, “And you better get him before he falls off that thing up there!”
Later Kain is hauling Tyson to the room when Cynder and Ignitus get back. Same thing with them, nothing. Tyson woke up half an hour later and walked with Cynder to the hot spring out back. Waiting by the door was Kain and he looked like he wanted to talk to Tyson, alone. They met up on top of a roof of a building in the Province.
“Alright, what is it you wanted to talk to me about?” Tyson asked.
“………the Sacred Sword…hand it over.” Kain said.
“Convexity Fang, you’re out of luck.” Tyson said.
“Give me the sword, only a true warrior may wield it. And you aren’t worthy of it!” Kain demanded.
“That’s not what I mean; I’m the only one who can even TOUCH it.” Tyson said.
“But you haven’t tried me…” Kain said.
“No, unless you’re part dragon like I am the same things gonna happen to you that happened to my little brother Carter.” Tyson explained as he Dragon Triggered.
“What do you mean?” Kain asked stunned and stupefied at the same time.
“A couple of weeks ago Carter got into my room back home and tried to mess with another one of my Dragon Arms, a fire weapon Axelagon. And then all we heard was him screaming, I swear that was the fastest I had ever run in my life. When we found him his right hand was burned a little bit.” Tyson explained.
“Because of the flames, but the Sacred Sword has no elemental powers…” Kain said.
“But that’s not all, before that he tried to grab my first Dragon Arm, Royal Legacy, and the same thing happened with his left hand. That Arm had no element either and that’s why you’re not getting Convexity Fang, it’s one of my strongest Arms and who knows what’ll happen if you touch it, it could blow you up for all I know!!” Tyson said.
“No matter, I will have that sword.” Kain said.
“One thing though, why are you doing something like this? Working as a guard and taking orders……it’s because of the Princess, isn’t it?” Tyson asked. Kain was already gone; looks like Tyson hit the right chord…
After everyone else had gone to bed, Kain was patrolling the hallways when he found Lira peeking at Tyson and Cynder, “Princess, is everything alright?”
“Oh Kain, I was just looking at them…they look happy to have each other don’t they?” Lira said. Kain looked at them to and the sternness in his eyes seemed to fade; now he sees that Tyson is nothing like Kaiser says he’s like. After walking Lira back to her bedroom Kain is about to return to patrolling the halls when Lira yanks him into her room!!
“So Kain, how do you know Tyson? I heard him say something about the Mong Shen Temple.” Lira asked.
“Yes, he and I trained there a few years back. He and I were almost mirror images when we sparred, move for move, everything.” Kain explained.
“So you’re rivals?” Lira said.
“Something like that…but when he left I stayed, determined to become better then him.” Kain said.
“Y’know, I’ve noticed how you turn away when I look at you and…”
“Goodnight, Princess, I have to get back to my patrol.” Kain said as he walked out.
“Teehee, he likes me…” Lira snikered.
Morning came again and still there was no luck, not even with the elder scroll keepers, something just isn’t right about this. Tyson is lying on the top roof of the castle watching the clouds when they suddenly turned black and angry!
“Father…I know you took the documents and the information about the Keys of Legend, why are you doing this?” Lira asked.
“Because they do not deserve to learn about something as sacred and powerful as the Keys of Legend, especially that outsider Drakes!” Kaiser said.
“Father you just don’t understand, Tyson and his friends are trying to save the world and all you’re doing is stopping them from doing that! That’s why I hate you; you’re always keeping me locked away from the world and other people. I’m not your personal treasure to keep sealed away, I want a boyfriend, I want to find love, and I want to get MARRIED!!! That’s what Mother wanted for me…” Lira said.
“But Lira, I’m only protecting…”
“You’re not protecting me; you’re only protecting your status and image….do you even really care about me?” Lira said. Kaiser was just about to say something when something comes crashing down through the roof and into the floor!
“Ow…that was a cheap shot!” It was Tyson in his Dragon Trigger form, just then a lightning bolt tore through the roof and blasted Tyson across the room and into the wall right next to Kaiser, “OKAY, THAT’S IT! NOW YOU’RE GETTING YOUR TAIL KICKED!!” Tyson roars out of the hole and soars up back through the roof.

Lightning covered the sky above the castle and formed the body of an electric monster!
“I am the Alien King, surrender the Key to me and I shall destroy this place and its people without pain!” he demanded. Tyson flew up but he looked like an ant compared to this guy in his face but with a punch to the face the difference in size and strength became obvious. The Alien King reeled back up and blasted Tyson and sent him flying all the way to the main park and into the fountain. The Alien looked down and spotted Lira and was about to attack her when Kain swoops in and snatches her up before the bolt hit. Cynder and Ignitus flew around his head blasting him with Poison and Fire to blind him as Tyson got back to the fight he clenched his right fist and focused energy into it. His fist suddenly became even bigger as he reached back, “Rocket Earth Straight!” He swung his fist and the energy launched off his gauntlet in the form of a fist toward the Alien and explodes in his face and sends him flying into the giant open field behind the castle. The Alien then transforms into something like a lightning serpent, snakes through the air around Tyson’s charged shots and was about to chomp him when suddenly a light arrow comes flying past the Alien! He dodges it but the arrow actually curves around and flies right into the Alien’s face! Only one weapon can do that, Avalon Star!
“Haha, Hunter you big furball where have you been?” Tyson shouts. Hunter vanished a few weeks ago and took Avalon Star with him.
“It’s good to see you again as well my friend. I had left to train and hone my skills but I am not here alone…” Hunter said. The Alien King tried to sneak up on Tyson when a huge fireball shot out from behind Hunter and nailed him right down the throat, “I’d like you to meet my friend and our new ally, Bianca.” She walked up from behind Hunter; she had rabbit ears and the tail too, a wand and a hooded cloak. She was all rabbit…nice. Suddenly Kain comes out of nowhere, leaping off the roof and tried to ram his sword into the Alien King’s head but was smashed away with a single swipe of the arm, Tyson swoops in and switches to Convexity Fang and changes forms but the Alien King creates a lightning sword and blocks Tyson! Tyson wheeled around and launched a Sonic Boom but the Alien King countered with a Thunder Sonic Boom. Kaiser couldn’t believe his eyes, the Dragon of Legend was Tyson and what the documents said had come true, the Dragon of Legend shall battle with the lightning of the stars for the Key of Legend. Tyson swoops in and tries to slash the Alien but got hit with a punch and Convexity Fang was knocked out of his hand, Tyson crashed into the top spire of the castle. Kain shook off the pain and noticed Convexity Fang in front of him…
Cynder flew in under the Alien King and unleashed her Fear Fury Attack: Hyper Terror Song, and blasted him upwards! Just then lightning struck the top of the castle, Tyson stood up with lightning bolts shaped like dragons hovering around him; his pistols were switched out for two thunderbolt shaped guns, Thundraguns! Tyson jumped up and every time he shot at the Alien lightning bolts replaced energy bullets and the lightning dragons flew at the Alien King in sync with the shots. Tyson fired one Charge Shot that loosed a massive bolt and ten lightning dragons appeared at once and flew at Alien. When the smoke cleared his body was torn up but it was the shell of the destroyed parts of his body, what was intact appeared behind Tyson and smashed him down towards the ground. The Alien King’s body began to glow, it was trying to self-destruct and take the entire Province with it! Tyson charged both his guns, lightning surged around him as if Mother Nature herself was helping too! The Alien King dive-bombed at Tyson with his ugly maw wide open, Tyson pulls the triggers and a massive bolt erupts from the barrels of his guns into a humongous lightning dragon that makes contact in his mouth and bursts out of the other side of his head.
*BOOM* The Alien King blew up and went out with a whimper instead of a bang. Tyson fell and fell and fell until, *CRASH* he crashed into the ground.
Cynder, Ignitus, and everyone else rushed to where Tyson landed to find him exhausted but alive, “Oww, remind me never to do that again…ow.” Cynder helps him out of his crater and leans him up against the wall as he changed back to normal. As Lira walks up to them something rustles in the wreckage of the castle, suddenly the head of the Alien King shoots out and was about to kill Lira when, “HYYAHHH!!!!” In an instant the Alien King’s head or what was left of it was cut in two and faded away. In front of Lira was Kain…with Convexity Fang!! Smoke was coming from his hand as he turned around to Lira.
“Are you alright, Princess?” he asked.
“Kain…you…saved me…” Lira gasped.
“At least you’re unhurt…” Kain let Convexity Fang slip from his hand as it returned to Tyson. Suddenly he lurches back and hits the ground. The burns are bad but Tyson notices something but decides to keep it to himself for now.
“KAIN…Kain are you alright?” Lira rushed to his side and propped him up in her lap.
“Princess…as long as you are unharmed then I am happy. I remember the promise that Tyson and I had made before he left, that we would train to protect those who are important to us. He has Lady Cynder…but who do I have? I never knew my parents…and I don’t have anyone who cares about me…” Kain said.
“You’re wrong Kain; you do have someone who cares about…me.” Lira said.
“But Princess I…” Lira put her finger over his mouth.
“I knew you liked me because you always turned away when I looked at you but my Father kept you from telling me about your feelings.” Lira began to pull his face mask off.
“Princess, don’t…I can’t show you…”
“No, I want to see your face…” Lira removed his mask, raised him up closer to her…and quietly kissed him.
“Drakes…I had removed the information about the Key that you were looking for…I had thought you were just a worthless vagabond but I was wrong. The other reason is because……my daughter holds the Key of Flames within her.” Kaiser admitted.
“WHAT?!” Everyone shouted in unison, even Lira!!
“That is why I was so strict about whom you ever got involved with, I’m sorry I never told you about it but I wasn’t sure about how you would react…” Kaiser said.
“Father…how do I give the Key to Tyson?” Lira asked.
“Raise your hands as Tyson raises his sword and the Key will appear.” Kaiser said.
Lira raises her arms and out of nowhere from behind the castle, four giant dragons statues taller than the castle itself broke out of the ground, each statue had a different colored gemstone in their chests. Tyson raises Royal Legacy and as the blade began to shine a burst of flames poured out of Lira’s body and shot up into the sky, a small fireball slowly drifted down to Tyson. As he took hold of it the flames vanished and a red stone with fire swirling inside it appeared. Just then the gemstones on the statues lit up and a beam of light shot out of each one, Tyson and everyone else looked toward the direction the light beams were heading in and saw several other different colored beams appear as if at the same time as the ones in the Province and connect at the same point…at Avalar City!!
“Well I guess that means that everyone else found their Keys! Well I guess we’re leaving early, Kain you better take care of Lira you hear!!” Tyson joked.
“Of course, with my life!” Kain said. As Tyson and the others were leaving, Tyson looks back at Kain and sees a familiar looking aura around him, almost like Tyson’s when he first awakened his powers….wonder what it could mean?
