Episode 13: Map of the Keys!
Enter the Pervy Knight?!
[Bleach soundtrack – Torn Apart]
“Alright everyone, come in.” Xander called the team into the room that he and Digit have been for the past few days, “We’ve managed to repair the damaged data from the King’s Archives and…it really doesn’t look good.”
“Well, fire it up Dad.” Tyson said.
“I’m not sure you’d want to see this…but I think we must to learn about what really happened all those years ago. Do it Digit.” Xander said.
“Yes sir, starting holo-field projection and running data images.” Digit said while pressing many buttons on the console. A stand with a glass sphere rose out of the ceiling and floor and stretched a light field that filled the whole room, as the light faded the team found themselves on the dragon homeworld, more specifically The Valley of Avalar. It was burned black and trees were on fire everywhere, but what made it worse were the hundreds of dragon younglings littered across the ground…still and motionless. Cynder closed her eyes and turned away while Tyson held her close, then ape soldiers appeared and were marching toward the other side of the ridge. The hologram moved them in that direction and even Rick was stunned by what they saw!
“The war of Light and Darkness was the turning point in the already ongoing war against the forces of evil. In the beginning the world was peaceful but now the world has been twisted and deformed by the Dark Master Malefor, once known as Prince Malefor, was corrupted by the darkness which fed on the hatred he felt towards his twin brother, now King Avalar. Once there had been a prophecy about Avalar and Malefor, many had believed that they were the prophesied Dragons of Light and Dark, who would unite despite their powers being complete opposites and defeat the forces of evil once and for all. But many had noted severe changes in Prince Malefor after his brother was chosen to receive the ‘Crown’ instead of him, he argued with his parents the former King and Queen, saying that he was the rightful heir to the crown. But they were adamant about their choice, saying that because he has seen what their life was like first hand and holds what makes a true king in his heart was what made him more worthy of the crown. After the King and Queen passed on, Malefor began a series of failed attempts on his brother’s life in order to take the crown. Once the current war had reached a stalemate, Malefor had turned on his own kind and joined the enemy; vowing that if he won’t become the Dragon King that he’ll become the King of Darkness! Dragons live very long lives so it was 3 centuries later when Malefor returned, now twisted and grotesque, a true monster. He had amassed an army of dark creatures; a majority of them were dragons who have also betrayed their races. This battle raged on for years, the King went into the battle himself but told his mate, the Queen, to take their unhatched son away from the valley and leave him in the care of the Guardians, the current Guardians ancestors, and continue to live. Sadly the Queen had managed to leave their son with the Guardians but Malefor had caught up with her……and killed her without mercy. Once the King had learned of her murder, he discontinued to hold back against his former brother. Their battle raged on for what seemed like ages, the ballet was so fierce it spanned the stars to another world. The Dragon Watchers observed their battle on this world called Earth, the King and Malefor were fighting so fiercely they had reached an entirely different and higher state of energy, they clashed over and over as huge bolts of energy. On their final clash, the King had torn a ‘fragment’ of Malefor’s power and spirit off him before they returned to our world. Once they did, they were battle scarred but the darkness continued to heal Malefor, King Avalar saw only one recourse, with what seemed to be the last of his strength he lunged at Malefor just as he did the same. Their claws collided with tremendous force, in the end the King connected a massive gash that tore Malefor’s right side off and its remains burned away in a black flame but the King did not come out of it unscathed. Malefor had broken off a single claw of the King which has now become the Royal Legacy sword. Before Malefor could heal, the King made the ultimate sacrifice and used the last of his power to seal Malefor away within the Convexity Realm and spread his power across the world and banished Malefor’s legions to the UnderRealm. When the war was finally over the King had vanished and never to be seen again when Malefor made a terrifying prophecy, ‘I shall return one day more powerful than now. I shall wreak havoc and destruction upon this world and the ‘other’! And I shall kill every living creature, for I am the ULTIMATE DRAGON, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!’”
“That’s everything…” Digit said out of breath.
“Thanks Digit, you go and take a rest. So they did fight here and according to the dragons timeline it happened around the time of Pangaea but when my dad found the king, he must have traveled through something that slowed time down for him while he was on his way here. When he arrived again, millions of years had passed on our world but only like 2 to 4000 years of that amount of time had passed on their world, still before Spyro and Cynder were even laid in their eggs.” Tyson said.
“Wrong, Spyro’s egg had already been laid……a special spell was placed on his egg once he reached the Guardians that kept him alive within his egg but without hatching so that he would awaken when the world need him. He remained ageless within his egg for the entire 4000 years after the war and after the Guardians had passed on after Malefor’s curse had taken their lives when the new Guardians of today inherited the responsibility. I learned from with that information the identity of Spyro’s parents….it was them….it was the King and Queen! Spyro is King Avalar and Queen Aurora’s son!” Digit gasped. Tyson staggered to the floor…
“They were….the King and Queen……this is heavy……” Tyson began to break down when Cynder laid her hand on his shoulder.
“It doesn’t say anything about the place ‘where the Dragon Ancestors are honored’, anywhere.” Digit said.
“We have to keep going…that’s what they would want.” Tyson said.
Three days have passed since, no ones truly recovered from what they saw Malefor had done in the past. Currently, Tyson, Cynder, Spyke, Hope and Cross are in the Gaia Plains investigating a strange letter that had been sent to them, “Dear whom it may concern, I wish to meet you and your female friend soon. I may be able to assist you on your quest, signed Knight.”
“Tyson tell me again why we’re wading through this fog swallowed muck field again?!” Cynder asked.
“We got a strange letter asking us to come here and there have been several reports of people disappearing, never to be seen again alive. Only bones are found of what could be over 300 missing people…” Tyson explained, “Damn, with so much fog I can barely see anything!”
“Well this reminds me a lot of those mountains that were so high and that we had to climb to find this shrine, it’s the truth.”
“Yeah, me too, Spyke. I thought we wouldn’t get out of that fog!” Cross said, perched on Spyke's horn.
“I only wish we know the knight who sent us that letter?” Cynder asked.
“Me too!”
“Oh, no, not again!” Tyson groans, making a face palm. Sparx flies out of one of Tyson’s blazer pockets, “What the hell are you doing here?!”
“Hey, I wanna know who the Knight is too, and if it is the one who destroyed our world, I’m gonna smack him upside the head!”
“Pft, you wish!” Cynder joked. Suddenly, they heard a strange noise behind them. The group begins to look all around, trying to see what it was through the fog. Sparx began to smell the air and found a strange scent behind him and he spun around to confront whoever it was, but that might not have been such a good idea. The dragonfly finds a monster like a gray bipedal dinosaur with much of its flesh rotting off, empty eye-sockets, and its ribs are visible. The monster made a roar, making the gray skin on its head peel off, revealing tender pink under flesh. The noise does capture the attention of the whole group, which directly faces the monster, afraid of it, while Sparx is freaking out, “MONSTER! WE ARE GONNA DIEEE!!!!”
“A dinosaur...completely disfigured?” Tyson shouted.
“You've never seen a zombie have you?!!” Spyke shouted.
“Uh, Spyke, please tell me that isn't who I think it is?!” Hope asked.
“I was also thinking the same thing, Hope.” Spyke answered.
“Gergoth...” Cross shouted, scared. When the monster roared again, the whole group starts to run, trying to flee the monster.
“YEP, IT'S GERGOOOOOTH!!!” Cross screamed as she held onto Spyke’s horn for dear life.
“Gergoth?!” Tyson asked.
“Yes, it’s a monster and a very dangerous one at that! It took a lot beat that thing first time, and with this mist everywhere I doubt that we can attack him directly if he suddenly disappeared into the fog!” Spyke explained.
“Okay, got the message, RUN NOW!” Tyson shouted. Gergoth was gaining on them quickly until a large blast wave pierced the fog and struck Gergoth with enough force to disorient him while the team finally managed to escape from the monster's view, and being able to rest a bit before continuing on.
[Naruto Soundtrack – Sasuke’s Theme]
An hour later the team reaches an old village that looks like a war had been through here. The place seemed abandoned until a small child walks right by them.
“Hello, strangers, what brings you here?” she asked.
“Um, we’re here to investigate a letter we received asking us to come here, it said that it’s signed by a Knight.” Tyson said.
“A Knight? Oh, you’ll find him up there in the old Orin Castle, he’s really nice and funny too, I think you’ll like him.” She said.
Before she skips off Tyson asks, “Hey, where are your parents?”
“They’re gone…the monster ate them…but the Knight saved me and lots of others too. Ever since he arrived he’s been trying to beat the monster but I know that he’ll beat that bad old monster soon and we can have the sun back!” she giggled.
“Well, let my friend’s help you get back to the others safely, you just lead them to where they are and if any are injured they’ll help with that as well. We’ll go and check out that Knight, stay in constant radio contact with these COM links. I changed them up so they’ll fit on your horns and whatnot.” Tyson said as they split up.
At the castle, Tyson and Cynder enter carefully, not knowing if there are any traps they move slowly. As they progress into the upper floors it becomes evident that this guy is either really cocky and thinks he can take them on his own or just plain lazy. After what seemed like a hundred floors they finally reach the highest lookout tower and inside was the Knight, looking out the window still as a mountain.
“I see you received my letter.”
“You…you’re the one behind Cynder’s world getting destroyed!!” Tyson growled.
“I’m afraid you are mistaken I haven’t been home in over 4000 years.”
“Huh?!” Tyson scratches his head at what he’s hearing!
“There’s just one thing I’d like to ask your pretty friend…” he walks over from the window, bends down so he’s face to face with Cynder, “May I…………have your panties, please?” (Record scratches)
“WHAT?!” Cynder grabs him by the neck and begins to pummel the living daylights out of him! *PUNCH-PUNCH-CRASH-BANG-CLASH-CLANG-PUNCH-PUNCH-PUNCH* Then she lobs him clear across the room and into the wall upside down on his head.
Tyson just looks forward and, “BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, uh, maybe I should’ve told him that Cynder is a lot stronger than she looks? …NAH, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Tyson’s laughing so hard he falls on his back clutching his ribs.

“How rude! I was only making a joke, madam? To lift the serious mood in this place.” He said.
“Could have fooled me!” Cynder said.
“Hey, wait Cynder! We need him to help us remember? If you bash the living hell out of this guy then what? Remember what the little girl said…” Tyson turned to the Knight who was rolling off his head and back onto his feet, “So your one of Malefor’s goons, eh?”
“What makes you say that?” then he sees the Dark Gate in the room as if just remembered, “Oh…well still that’s not the case. You see I am from the world of Avalon, named after King Avalar was crowned. The same world that she is from but I was forced into this…monster that I am now!”
“What do you mean?” Cynder asked.
“Here, I’ll explain over a cup of tea.” He left and came back with a plate with cups of warm tea.

“I was once a warrior, who fought against the darkness, but then he came and offered me a position in his army to destroy the world but I refused. With his dark powers he destroyed my body but kept my spirit and sealed me within this suit of armor, he made me kill my entire family and hundreds of others and I couldn’t do anything to stop. He was far too powerful, but when the King defeated him, even though I had been turned evil I was overjoyed. And although I was banished to the UnderRealm along with the others I was still happy that now I didn’t have to kill anymore. But then I woke up here, and a small child was playing in front of the gate. I was still in the darkness’s control and I was about to kill her when she turned around and looked at me. She wasn’t scared nor did she cry she just smiled. It was then I discovered that I couldn’t move, I would not allow the darkness to make me kill this innocent child. She walked up to me and held out…a tiny flower. I fought against the evil inside me, reached down…and took the flower. Somehow the curse that Malefor had put on me had been broken but I still remained in the armor, but her smile made everything feel better. She said her name was…Mayla, ever since those days I’ve kept that same flower and I wear it around my wrist. It’s never wilted; instead it’s only bloomed even more beautiful. It’s been years since I last saw Mayla, I’ve lost count but I’ve kept my promise her; to protect this place.”
“That flower…it’s called the ‘Moon Water Blossom’. Somehow it never wilts; people have found these same flowers that have been in fields and plains for hundreds of years. People also say that the flower has the mysterious power to calm even the most savage rage.” Tyson said.
“Actually, I believe it was the young girl who freed me.”
“And why is that?” Cynder asked.
“Because she reminded me of MY daughter…My only wish is that my family can ever forgive me for what I’ve done. That is why I cannot leave until this monster has been destroyed.”
“That’s not gonna be as easy as it sounds.” Spyke had come to the castle, leaving Hope and Cross to take care of the people who were still here hiding from Gergoth.
“Why do you say that?”
“Because my friends and I have beaten it before but it looks like now it’s gained the ability to change elements. Now it’ll take an intense Earth blast to destroy it, but Gergoth has gotten even stronger than before.” Spyke explained.
“There is a way to do it though, right? I know you don’t trust me but I want to make up for all that I’ve done by helping these people out.”
“What’s your name?” Tyson asked.
“It’s Duran.”
“You got a weapon?”
“Yes, I wield a Claymore.”
“Heh, you were the one who blasted that rot pile earlier when it was chasing us!” Tyson said.
“Yes, that was me.”
“Alright then, Duran, come on! We got a monster to destroy!” Tyson said. As they left the castle Duran looked off to the village hoping to see her…but she wasn’t there.
Duran leads the team to a large cave, “The creature seems to spend most of its time in here, why, I don’t know though.”
“It’s because it used to be a gentle beast, but an evil warlord imprisoned it as an act of tyranny against his people. Gergoth didn’t understand why the dragons, which had treated him so nicely and like a member of their clan, had suddenly sealed him away. Years had passed and the warlord was seen as an evil, heartless monster, he thought the only way to get his people back on his side was to release Gergoth. But he had become the very monster he is now, an undead dinosaur. That warlord turned out to be Drakath in another life way before I was even born.” Spyke explained.
They entered just a purple mist filled the cave, “Watch out, that’s Gergoth’s poison mist from his chest!”
“Here, put these on! They are gas-converter masks, it nulls poison no matter what it’s from! C’mon, we gotta move now!” Tyson shouts.
[Sonic & The Black Knight “Shrouded Forest – Sir Lancelot’s Route” Music]
The team quickly dash through the cave as roars echo from the cave center, rocking the stone spikes on the ceiling off. Duran leapt forward and spun in a circle, swinging his Claymore and blocking the spikes. Cynder spots a huge gap ahead and rushes ahead and uses her Shadow Arms to make a swing as Tyson and the others jump and grab onto her hand and are swung across. Just then a massive machine tears out of the wall beside them, it’s Red and Drakath! Something must be here that Red wants! Drakath is at the back of the tunnel machine shooting fireballs and lightning at them! Duran, with amazing skill, uses his Claymore to rebound the fireballs and lightning at the machines treads, he then tears his sword into the ground as he’s running and rips out an Earth Sonic boom that hits Red’s machine and knocks into the air and to the right. Tyson jumps back and Duran catches him and tosses him forward through the opening so he can get in front! A fireball streaks by Cynder and knocks her out of the air; luckily Duran caught her, unfortunately she landed in his palm on her butt, Duran makes a half perv face.
“You’re enjoying this…aren’t you? You’re lucky we’re on a mission right now.” Cynder growled as she got in the air again. Explosions rocked the machine from the front; Tyson comes flying out of the front with his newest Dragon Arm, Convexity Fang; the katana from the last mission. The explosions knocked Drakath off balance which gave Spyke the opening he needed, he dashed up and grabbed Drakath but an explosion blew them off!
“Go, I can handle Drakath! Get rid of Gergoth!” Spyke yelled as they continued on.
“Cynder, stay with Spyke and help him, me and Duran will handle Gergoth!” Tyson shouted just as a robot arm tried to grab him, with one swing he sliced it clean off. Then multiple arms appeared and tried to smash Tyson off, Duran hurled his Claymore toward Tyson as he spun around and caught it. As each arm jabbed at him, Tyson jumped and slashed the hand and ran up the arm! With Royal Legacy and Duran’s Claymore he slashed and dashed at the arms, leaping off the destroyed ones. Tyson summoned Thundus and with its electric chains threw one over to Duran; he caught it and was reeled in onto the machine. As they continued to the cockpit, Red wasn’t there, instead it was a drone! Tyson swung down into the cockpit and kicked the thing out and into the treads.
“Ouch, that’s gotta hurt! Heheheheheh!” Tyson joked.
“Are you sure you can work this thing?” Duran asked a little nervously.
“Are you kidding? This is practically kid-stuff compared to everything else I’ve piloted, hang on!” Tyson grabs the controls and jabs them forward, making the machine accelerate. *ROAR* It’s Gergoth, his roar echoes as they come across conjoining tunnels.
Spyke calls up on the COM link, “Tyson watch out for his laser attack from his mouth!”
“LASER?!!!” Tyson screamed just as the purple blast shot out and damaged the tunneling machine a little, “YOU COULDA TOLD ME THAT THING HAD LASERS DUDE!!!”
“WELL, I WAS BUSY! JUST KILL THE FRIGGEN THING ALREADY!!”
“Ok, ok, ok, weapons! Does this thing have weapons?” Tyson flipped open a trigger latch and cannon turrets activated, “Ooh, Duran this is what I call ‘Ouch Time’, hahahaha!” A targeting crosshairs appeared on a hologram screen, Tyson twisted the joystick in Gergoth’s direction, “Mwahahah, eat this Zombie Dino Boy!!!” Tyson pulls the triggers and all the cannons fire toward Gergoth, blowing chunks of rotting flesh off! Gergoth fires his mouth laser at the ceiling in front of Tyson and Duran, a huge chunk of the rock came down as Tyson tried to brake with the foot pedals, but when he jammed the pedals down; instead of stopping the digger machine jumped into the air and over the debris!!
“Are you kidding me!? This thing’s got jump jacks!? Look, I know that Red is our main enemy but DAMN that guy can build!” Tyson howls. Gergoth blasts the wall from Tyson and Duran’s side and makes a huge boulder roll out; Tyson pulls the trigger under his right index finger and the front of the machine began to transform.
“Whoa, that’s a Pulse Drill! Hang on!” Tyson hits the other trigger and the drill begins to spin, swirling energy around it into a powerful spiral and tears right through the boulder, “Hey, what do you say we nip this freak in the tail?!” Tyson swings the controls to the left, smashing through the stone pillars and right behind Gergoth! But then he did something only a zombie could do, Gergoth turns his head all the way around towards the back, Tyson and Duran did all they could to keep from puking.
“That…is…disgusting!” Duran groans.
“I’ve seen a lot of weird and strange things in my life……but that’s just wrong!!!” Tyson groaned. Gergoth fired his mouth laser but when it hit the drill the energy swirled around it too, “Can you say, rebound?” Tyson punched it and rocket boosters fired, shooting them up to Gergoth and nailing him right in the tail but before they could get a second hit Gergoth rams through the left wall and disappeared.
“Huh, I guess we know how Spyke found out Gergoth can change elements now.” Tyson said as they drove on. Sparx was still holding onto Tyson’s blazer collar but he’s not there by choice, he was actually going to stay back with Cynder but when he started damaging the digger he was just too freaked out to let go.
As they rumbled down into a large chamber, “Digit, I know you’re there…” Digit appears in her little hologram form, “Can you patch into the diggers control system? This thing is too good to let Red have back.”
“Of course, be careful while you’re fighting him.” Digit says as they jump off and dash for the other side of the chamber.
Gergoth was mad as hell, staring down the two little maggots that fight against him, with a furious roar he charges!
[Sonic & The Black Knight “Vs. Earth Dragon” Music]
Tyson and Duran are in mid-run when Gergoth lunges at them, Duran dashes to the side but Tyson leaps up onto Gergoth’s head and rams his sword into the decaying scull, suddenly a green light emerged from inside Gergoth’s head! Before Tyson could reach in and grab it Gergoth whipped his head and tossed him into the air, as he was coming down Gergoth tried to chomp him but Tyson jammed his sword between Gergoth’s teeth, tried to swing up onto his head again but his fangs broke!
“Jeez, this guy is just falling apart allover the place, literally!” Tyson yells. Duran is running around Gergoth’s right side when he jumps up and with one swing with his Claymore, smashed Gergoth’s arm right off. Gergoth rebounded and blasted Duran with his…(ugh)…sick mouth laser, Duran managed to block it but still got slammed into the floor.
Meanwhile, Cynder and Spyke were giving Drakath a run for his money. Drakath could now make two giant bony hands and shoot a two-pronged attack with both fire and lightning! Cynder blasted the fireballs with her Wind Spears and Spyke blocked the lightning with Earth Boulders, then Drakath showed a new move; he launched his giant fists forward covered in fire and electricity, they connected! But Cynder and Spyke were not about to slow down, Cynder jabbed her Rage Claws into the ground and a ‘Claw Shockwave’ raced across the ground and exploded on contact with Drakath! Cynder grabbed Spyke and swung him around and tossed him towards Drakath, Spyke covered himself with fire and flew at him and blasted him like a rocket. Cynder flew in and clocked Drakath in the chin with a kick, rolled over Spyke’s back, locked arms and rolled him over her back and kicked Drakath again, Spyke swung Cynder and sliced Drakath with her tail blade, Spyke dashed under her and slashed him with his sword, then they both dashed up to him and smashed him with a double punch.
Back at the fight with Gergoth, Tyson is running at him with lightning surging in his fists and Duran tossing his Claymore like a boomerang, just as Duran tosses his sword Tyson spins and creates a Volt Tornado. Tyson’s attack hit his right side and Duran’s attack bounces off Gergoth’s left and making the crack in his head bigger! Tyson now sees his chance and goes for it!
“Tyson, what are you doing!?” Duran shouts. Gergoth is disoriented but still tries to blast Tyson as he dashes toward him. Tyson Dragon Triggers and streaks toward Gergoth, sideswiping and sidestepping around and over his laser attack. Tyson reached Gergoth and jumped up to his left knee, Gergoth swiped at him with his only arm he had left but Tyson jumped up higher at the last second and Gergoth ended up smashing his own knee to pieces! As Gergoth stumbled Tyson leapt into his exposed ribcage and blasted everywhere with Pulse and Burst, his twin dragon-powered handguns, a huge plume explosion of smoke poured out from Gergoth’s chest. Tyson reappeared coming out of the top of the ribcage and onto Gergoth’s head. Tyson rammed Royal Legacy into Gergoth’s scull again and yanked it side to side even as Gergoth thrashed to and fro to throw Tyson off, he stood steadfast. The crack had shattered and was now fully open; inside Gergoth’s brain cavity was a Green Core Orb! Despite however disgusting it was, Tyson dropped inside and tugged at the Orb, now Gergoth was really losing it! He tried running his head into the ground and fired a laser at Duran. Tyson had to ditch the orb for now, flew toward Duran and made a huge Tundra Reflection Mirror Shield; the attack was really powerful now, Tyson somehow made the shield into a super prism that refracted the laser within it at least several hundred times. When Gergoth stopped firing, the refracted laser inside the shield was released and Gergoth was blasted with his own attack only hundreds of times more powerful. It was enough to knock him out so Tyson went for the Orb again, Tyson hopped in the scull and Duran tried to follow but just as the Orb was touched, Gergoth thrashed again, tossing Duran up and over behind him. Gergoth thrashed and thrashed just as Spyke and Cynder catch up with them, dragging Drakath’s unconscious heap behind them. Just then a spark appeared inside Tyson’s mind just as Gergoth whipped back and with the momentum Tyson was able to yank the Orb free.
[Bleach OST 2 – 13 – Compassion]
Tyson landed safely behind Gergoth with the Orb in hand, Spyke, Cynder and Duran rush to his side.
“Tyson, you okay? Let me finish Gergoth off!” Spyke growled but Tyson stopped him, “Tyson what are you doing?”
“Wait…listen…you hear that?” A low somber growl echoed through the chamber…it was Gergoth!
“Huh? He could be trying to trick us!” Spyke said.
“No wait…when I got the Orb free I saw something……his memories! They were of the village he used to protect…You said that he didn’t know why he was sealed away, right? And how Duran fought against the darkness inside him and won? I think Gergoth may have come back to his senses!” Tyson explained. Just then Gergoth rumbled around and looked at them, especially Tyson…*growl*
“Huh, what do you mean?” Tyson said.
“What is it, Tyson?” Duran asked.
“I can understand him?” Tyson said.
“Well, it’s said that dragons can understand the language of any creature. What did he say?” Duran said.
“Actually he asked, ‘what happened to the children’? I think he must be asking about the children of the village he used to protect!” Tyson explained. Just then Gergoth began to roar but it wasn’t an attacking roar but a sorrowful roar.
“He’s…crying?” Cynder said.
“Yeah…he was supposed to be a protector but was turned into a killer monster.” Tyson said. *growl-groan*
“WHAT!?” Tyson shouted.
“What is it?” Spyke asked.
“He wants me to destroy him! But…I can’t, he’s come back to his senses maybe he can help us…” Tyson said. *moan-groooowl*
“He said he can’t. He’s spilled too much blood…taken too many lives…he doesn’t want to be this monstrosity anymore.” Cynder translated as Gergoth growled.
“But…Gergoth, there’s gotta be another way?!” Tyson shouted.
*growl* “I’m sorry, warrior. But this must be done…I have failed my duty to protect them…this is the only way I can think of to hopefully earn forgiveness for what I have done.” Gergoth spoke within Tyson’s mind. Suddenly Drakath came to and started blasting them with fire and lightning.
“I’ll kill you all myself if I have to!” Suddenly Gergoth crashed in and chomped Drakath and held him in his fangs, “What are you doing, you festering sack of rotting flesh?!”
“Tyson, now, do it!” Spyke shouted.
“Tyson, Gergoth asked you to do this. Are you going to deny a last request?” Cynder said. The Green Orb grew brighter and settled across his back, two shoulder cannons appeared, the barrels were shaped like dragon heads. Tyson grabbed hold of the barrel handles and began charging energy when Cynder placed her hand on his left shoulder, then Spyke on his right shoulder, then Duran. They all helped charge up energy as Gergoth fought to keep Drakath clenched in his jaws, when the Geo-Cannon was fully charged Gergoth swung around and placed his head in the line of fire! Energy poured out of both barrels, the energy was unbelievable! The blast was so powerful that once it hit both Drakath and Gergoth they were pushed all the way backwards through the tunnel. The cannon beam was huge, it filled the tunnel and carved it smooth and circular, Gergoth’s body slowly broke away and even the shards of his bones were burned away by the blast! Finally the blast shot them out of the mouth of the cave and high into the air, hundreds of feet in the air both Drakath and Gergoth were swallowed by the blast and an explosion destroyed any last trace of them. Drakath was finally destroyed once and for all but while everyone is cheering Tyson feels like he’s just lost a new friend and ally, then he notices something stuck to his sword. It’s a Bone Shard from Gergoth…instead of throwing it away he places it on a boulder that’s jutting up from the ground, like a shrine of some kind.
“Tyson, we gotta go!” Cynder called. Digit drove the Digger back to the small town where everyone was hollering in celebration and someone special emerged from the crowd.
“Duran? Is that you?”
“Mayla!?” Duran said.
“Yes, it is you! After all this time you still have the flower I gave you!” she said.
“You look so different now?” Duran asked.
“It’s been almost 20 years since that day! And today is the day that we first met.” Mayla said.
“I am sorry that your old home looks like this…” Duran shrunk away.
“Duran…I knew after all this time that you would still protect this town, even if I went away. And now I’m back to stay…I missed you my old friend.” Mayla walks up and gives Duran a hug but he doesn’t do anything perverted until he reaches for her backend but she doesn’t mind.
“So you aren’t gonna be coming with us are you Duran?” Tyson asks.
“No, I’m going to stay here and help with the reconstruction of the town. It’s the duty of a guardian to help with anything, right?” Duran said.
“Yeah, well you take care. We’ll send extra help over here soon.” Tyson said as they began to walk off but Duran rushes up for some reason.
“Wait…I almost forgot to give you this. It has a mark on it that looks like your sword and when I saw you on TV a few weeks ago I knew then that you would need this.” Duran said.
Tyson opened it up and it turns out to be a map, “Look at this, I think that this could lead us to where the Master Core Orb is hidden. Let’s get this back to Ignitus and the others and see what they make of it, thanks Duran, hope to see ya again buddy!”
Hope pulls Cynder aside and whispers, “I know you might find this strange but I remember you!”
“Well, yeah…”
“No, I mean I remember seeing you when we hatched! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to remember that…Cynder, I’m your sister!” Hope said.
“What?!” Cynder staggered.
“The reason we never met was Gaul was only interested in you and had his goons abandon me in the middle of nowhere, but I was adopted and saved and now here we are!” Hope explained.
“If you’re really my sister, then tell me, what happened to our parents?” Cynder asked.
“Sorry, I don’t remember a thing about them. Gaul took us when we were still eggs. But I’m sure we’ll find them one day soon!” Hope said.
Once on the way home Tyson goes over the map and freaks out for some reason, “Oh man!!!”
“Tyson, what’s the matter?” Cynder asked.
“Whatever this map leads to, the closest one is in the Ling Zhou Province! After what happened the last time I was there, I am NOT going back there…”

[Bleach soundtrack – Torn Apart]
“Alright everyone, come in.” Xander called the team into the room that he and Digit have been for the past few days, “We’ve managed to repair the damaged data from the King’s Archives and…it really doesn’t look good.”
“Well, fire it up Dad.” Tyson said.
“I’m not sure you’d want to see this…but I think we must to learn about what really happened all those years ago. Do it Digit.” Xander said.
“Yes sir, starting holo-field projection and running data images.” Digit said while pressing many buttons on the console. A stand with a glass sphere rose out of the ceiling and floor and stretched a light field that filled the whole room, as the light faded the team found themselves on the dragon homeworld, more specifically The Valley of Avalar. It was burned black and trees were on fire everywhere, but what made it worse were the hundreds of dragon younglings littered across the ground…still and motionless. Cynder closed her eyes and turned away while Tyson held her close, then ape soldiers appeared and were marching toward the other side of the ridge. The hologram moved them in that direction and even Rick was stunned by what they saw!
“The war of Light and Darkness was the turning point in the already ongoing war against the forces of evil. In the beginning the world was peaceful but now the world has been twisted and deformed by the Dark Master Malefor, once known as Prince Malefor, was corrupted by the darkness which fed on the hatred he felt towards his twin brother, now King Avalar. Once there had been a prophecy about Avalar and Malefor, many had believed that they were the prophesied Dragons of Light and Dark, who would unite despite their powers being complete opposites and defeat the forces of evil once and for all. But many had noted severe changes in Prince Malefor after his brother was chosen to receive the ‘Crown’ instead of him, he argued with his parents the former King and Queen, saying that he was the rightful heir to the crown. But they were adamant about their choice, saying that because he has seen what their life was like first hand and holds what makes a true king in his heart was what made him more worthy of the crown. After the King and Queen passed on, Malefor began a series of failed attempts on his brother’s life in order to take the crown. Once the current war had reached a stalemate, Malefor had turned on his own kind and joined the enemy; vowing that if he won’t become the Dragon King that he’ll become the King of Darkness! Dragons live very long lives so it was 3 centuries later when Malefor returned, now twisted and grotesque, a true monster. He had amassed an army of dark creatures; a majority of them were dragons who have also betrayed their races. This battle raged on for years, the King went into the battle himself but told his mate, the Queen, to take their unhatched son away from the valley and leave him in the care of the Guardians, the current Guardians ancestors, and continue to live. Sadly the Queen had managed to leave their son with the Guardians but Malefor had caught up with her……and killed her without mercy. Once the King had learned of her murder, he discontinued to hold back against his former brother. Their battle raged on for what seemed like ages, the ballet was so fierce it spanned the stars to another world. The Dragon Watchers observed their battle on this world called Earth, the King and Malefor were fighting so fiercely they had reached an entirely different and higher state of energy, they clashed over and over as huge bolts of energy. On their final clash, the King had torn a ‘fragment’ of Malefor’s power and spirit off him before they returned to our world. Once they did, they were battle scarred but the darkness continued to heal Malefor, King Avalar saw only one recourse, with what seemed to be the last of his strength he lunged at Malefor just as he did the same. Their claws collided with tremendous force, in the end the King connected a massive gash that tore Malefor’s right side off and its remains burned away in a black flame but the King did not come out of it unscathed. Malefor had broken off a single claw of the King which has now become the Royal Legacy sword. Before Malefor could heal, the King made the ultimate sacrifice and used the last of his power to seal Malefor away within the Convexity Realm and spread his power across the world and banished Malefor’s legions to the UnderRealm. When the war was finally over the King had vanished and never to be seen again when Malefor made a terrifying prophecy, ‘I shall return one day more powerful than now. I shall wreak havoc and destruction upon this world and the ‘other’! And I shall kill every living creature, for I am the ULTIMATE DRAGON, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!’”
“That’s everything…” Digit said out of breath.
“Thanks Digit, you go and take a rest. So they did fight here and according to the dragons timeline it happened around the time of Pangaea but when my dad found the king, he must have traveled through something that slowed time down for him while he was on his way here. When he arrived again, millions of years had passed on our world but only like 2 to 4000 years of that amount of time had passed on their world, still before Spyro and Cynder were even laid in their eggs.” Tyson said.
“Wrong, Spyro’s egg had already been laid……a special spell was placed on his egg once he reached the Guardians that kept him alive within his egg but without hatching so that he would awaken when the world need him. He remained ageless within his egg for the entire 4000 years after the war and after the Guardians had passed on after Malefor’s curse had taken their lives when the new Guardians of today inherited the responsibility. I learned from with that information the identity of Spyro’s parents….it was them….it was the King and Queen! Spyro is King Avalar and Queen Aurora’s son!” Digit gasped. Tyson staggered to the floor…
“They were….the King and Queen……this is heavy……” Tyson began to break down when Cynder laid her hand on his shoulder.
“It doesn’t say anything about the place ‘where the Dragon Ancestors are honored’, anywhere.” Digit said.
“We have to keep going…that’s what they would want.” Tyson said.
Three days have passed since, no ones truly recovered from what they saw Malefor had done in the past. Currently, Tyson, Cynder, Spyke, Hope and Cross are in the Gaia Plains investigating a strange letter that had been sent to them, “Dear whom it may concern, I wish to meet you and your female friend soon. I may be able to assist you on your quest, signed Knight.”
“Tyson tell me again why we’re wading through this fog swallowed muck field again?!” Cynder asked.
“We got a strange letter asking us to come here and there have been several reports of people disappearing, never to be seen again alive. Only bones are found of what could be over 300 missing people…” Tyson explained, “Damn, with so much fog I can barely see anything!”
“Well this reminds me a lot of those mountains that were so high and that we had to climb to find this shrine, it’s the truth.”
“Yeah, me too, Spyke. I thought we wouldn’t get out of that fog!” Cross said, perched on Spyke's horn.
“I only wish we know the knight who sent us that letter?” Cynder asked.
“Me too!”
“Oh, no, not again!” Tyson groans, making a face palm. Sparx flies out of one of Tyson’s blazer pockets, “What the hell are you doing here?!”
“Hey, I wanna know who the Knight is too, and if it is the one who destroyed our world, I’m gonna smack him upside the head!”
“Pft, you wish!” Cynder joked. Suddenly, they heard a strange noise behind them. The group begins to look all around, trying to see what it was through the fog. Sparx began to smell the air and found a strange scent behind him and he spun around to confront whoever it was, but that might not have been such a good idea. The dragonfly finds a monster like a gray bipedal dinosaur with much of its flesh rotting off, empty eye-sockets, and its ribs are visible. The monster made a roar, making the gray skin on its head peel off, revealing tender pink under flesh. The noise does capture the attention of the whole group, which directly faces the monster, afraid of it, while Sparx is freaking out, “MONSTER! WE ARE GONNA DIEEE!!!!”
“A dinosaur...completely disfigured?” Tyson shouted.
“You've never seen a zombie have you?!!” Spyke shouted.
“Uh, Spyke, please tell me that isn't who I think it is?!” Hope asked.
“I was also thinking the same thing, Hope.” Spyke answered.
“Gergoth...” Cross shouted, scared. When the monster roared again, the whole group starts to run, trying to flee the monster.
“YEP, IT'S GERGOOOOOTH!!!” Cross screamed as she held onto Spyke’s horn for dear life.
“Gergoth?!” Tyson asked.
“Yes, it’s a monster and a very dangerous one at that! It took a lot beat that thing first time, and with this mist everywhere I doubt that we can attack him directly if he suddenly disappeared into the fog!” Spyke explained.
“Okay, got the message, RUN NOW!” Tyson shouted. Gergoth was gaining on them quickly until a large blast wave pierced the fog and struck Gergoth with enough force to disorient him while the team finally managed to escape from the monster's view, and being able to rest a bit before continuing on.

An hour later the team reaches an old village that looks like a war had been through here. The place seemed abandoned until a small child walks right by them.
“Hello, strangers, what brings you here?” she asked.
“Um, we’re here to investigate a letter we received asking us to come here, it said that it’s signed by a Knight.” Tyson said.
“A Knight? Oh, you’ll find him up there in the old Orin Castle, he’s really nice and funny too, I think you’ll like him.” She said.
Before she skips off Tyson asks, “Hey, where are your parents?”
“They’re gone…the monster ate them…but the Knight saved me and lots of others too. Ever since he arrived he’s been trying to beat the monster but I know that he’ll beat that bad old monster soon and we can have the sun back!” she giggled.
“Well, let my friend’s help you get back to the others safely, you just lead them to where they are and if any are injured they’ll help with that as well. We’ll go and check out that Knight, stay in constant radio contact with these COM links. I changed them up so they’ll fit on your horns and whatnot.” Tyson said as they split up.
At the castle, Tyson and Cynder enter carefully, not knowing if there are any traps they move slowly. As they progress into the upper floors it becomes evident that this guy is either really cocky and thinks he can take them on his own or just plain lazy. After what seemed like a hundred floors they finally reach the highest lookout tower and inside was the Knight, looking out the window still as a mountain.
“I see you received my letter.”
“You…you’re the one behind Cynder’s world getting destroyed!!” Tyson growled.
“I’m afraid you are mistaken I haven’t been home in over 4000 years.”
“Huh?!” Tyson scratches his head at what he’s hearing!
“There’s just one thing I’d like to ask your pretty friend…” he walks over from the window, bends down so he’s face to face with Cynder, “May I…………have your panties, please?” (Record scratches)
“WHAT?!” Cynder grabs him by the neck and begins to pummel the living daylights out of him! *PUNCH-PUNCH-CRASH-BANG-CLASH-CLANG-PUNCH-PUNCH-PUNCH* Then she lobs him clear across the room and into the wall upside down on his head.
Tyson just looks forward and, “BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, uh, maybe I should’ve told him that Cynder is a lot stronger than she looks? …NAH, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Tyson’s laughing so hard he falls on his back clutching his ribs.

“How rude! I was only making a joke, madam? To lift the serious mood in this place.” He said.
“Could have fooled me!” Cynder said.
“Hey, wait Cynder! We need him to help us remember? If you bash the living hell out of this guy then what? Remember what the little girl said…” Tyson turned to the Knight who was rolling off his head and back onto his feet, “So your one of Malefor’s goons, eh?”
“What makes you say that?” then he sees the Dark Gate in the room as if just remembered, “Oh…well still that’s not the case. You see I am from the world of Avalon, named after King Avalar was crowned. The same world that she is from but I was forced into this…monster that I am now!”
“What do you mean?” Cynder asked.
“Here, I’ll explain over a cup of tea.” He left and came back with a plate with cups of warm tea.

“I was once a warrior, who fought against the darkness, but then he came and offered me a position in his army to destroy the world but I refused. With his dark powers he destroyed my body but kept my spirit and sealed me within this suit of armor, he made me kill my entire family and hundreds of others and I couldn’t do anything to stop. He was far too powerful, but when the King defeated him, even though I had been turned evil I was overjoyed. And although I was banished to the UnderRealm along with the others I was still happy that now I didn’t have to kill anymore. But then I woke up here, and a small child was playing in front of the gate. I was still in the darkness’s control and I was about to kill her when she turned around and looked at me. She wasn’t scared nor did she cry she just smiled. It was then I discovered that I couldn’t move, I would not allow the darkness to make me kill this innocent child. She walked up to me and held out…a tiny flower. I fought against the evil inside me, reached down…and took the flower. Somehow the curse that Malefor had put on me had been broken but I still remained in the armor, but her smile made everything feel better. She said her name was…Mayla, ever since those days I’ve kept that same flower and I wear it around my wrist. It’s never wilted; instead it’s only bloomed even more beautiful. It’s been years since I last saw Mayla, I’ve lost count but I’ve kept my promise her; to protect this place.”
“That flower…it’s called the ‘Moon Water Blossom’. Somehow it never wilts; people have found these same flowers that have been in fields and plains for hundreds of years. People also say that the flower has the mysterious power to calm even the most savage rage.” Tyson said.
“Actually, I believe it was the young girl who freed me.”
“And why is that?” Cynder asked.
“Because she reminded me of MY daughter…My only wish is that my family can ever forgive me for what I’ve done. That is why I cannot leave until this monster has been destroyed.”
“That’s not gonna be as easy as it sounds.” Spyke had come to the castle, leaving Hope and Cross to take care of the people who were still here hiding from Gergoth.
“Why do you say that?”
“Because my friends and I have beaten it before but it looks like now it’s gained the ability to change elements. Now it’ll take an intense Earth blast to destroy it, but Gergoth has gotten even stronger than before.” Spyke explained.
“There is a way to do it though, right? I know you don’t trust me but I want to make up for all that I’ve done by helping these people out.”
“What’s your name?” Tyson asked.
“It’s Duran.”
“You got a weapon?”
“Yes, I wield a Claymore.”
“Heh, you were the one who blasted that rot pile earlier when it was chasing us!” Tyson said.
“Yes, that was me.”
“Alright then, Duran, come on! We got a monster to destroy!” Tyson said. As they left the castle Duran looked off to the village hoping to see her…but she wasn’t there.
Duran leads the team to a large cave, “The creature seems to spend most of its time in here, why, I don’t know though.”
“It’s because it used to be a gentle beast, but an evil warlord imprisoned it as an act of tyranny against his people. Gergoth didn’t understand why the dragons, which had treated him so nicely and like a member of their clan, had suddenly sealed him away. Years had passed and the warlord was seen as an evil, heartless monster, he thought the only way to get his people back on his side was to release Gergoth. But he had become the very monster he is now, an undead dinosaur. That warlord turned out to be Drakath in another life way before I was even born.” Spyke explained.
They entered just a purple mist filled the cave, “Watch out, that’s Gergoth’s poison mist from his chest!”
“Here, put these on! They are gas-converter masks, it nulls poison no matter what it’s from! C’mon, we gotta move now!” Tyson shouts.
[Sonic & The Black Knight “Shrouded Forest – Sir Lancelot’s Route” Music]
The team quickly dash through the cave as roars echo from the cave center, rocking the stone spikes on the ceiling off. Duran leapt forward and spun in a circle, swinging his Claymore and blocking the spikes. Cynder spots a huge gap ahead and rushes ahead and uses her Shadow Arms to make a swing as Tyson and the others jump and grab onto her hand and are swung across. Just then a massive machine tears out of the wall beside them, it’s Red and Drakath! Something must be here that Red wants! Drakath is at the back of the tunnel machine shooting fireballs and lightning at them! Duran, with amazing skill, uses his Claymore to rebound the fireballs and lightning at the machines treads, he then tears his sword into the ground as he’s running and rips out an Earth Sonic boom that hits Red’s machine and knocks into the air and to the right. Tyson jumps back and Duran catches him and tosses him forward through the opening so he can get in front! A fireball streaks by Cynder and knocks her out of the air; luckily Duran caught her, unfortunately she landed in his palm on her butt, Duran makes a half perv face.
“You’re enjoying this…aren’t you? You’re lucky we’re on a mission right now.” Cynder growled as she got in the air again. Explosions rocked the machine from the front; Tyson comes flying out of the front with his newest Dragon Arm, Convexity Fang; the katana from the last mission. The explosions knocked Drakath off balance which gave Spyke the opening he needed, he dashed up and grabbed Drakath but an explosion blew them off!
“Go, I can handle Drakath! Get rid of Gergoth!” Spyke yelled as they continued on.
“Cynder, stay with Spyke and help him, me and Duran will handle Gergoth!” Tyson shouted just as a robot arm tried to grab him, with one swing he sliced it clean off. Then multiple arms appeared and tried to smash Tyson off, Duran hurled his Claymore toward Tyson as he spun around and caught it. As each arm jabbed at him, Tyson jumped and slashed the hand and ran up the arm! With Royal Legacy and Duran’s Claymore he slashed and dashed at the arms, leaping off the destroyed ones. Tyson summoned Thundus and with its electric chains threw one over to Duran; he caught it and was reeled in onto the machine. As they continued to the cockpit, Red wasn’t there, instead it was a drone! Tyson swung down into the cockpit and kicked the thing out and into the treads.
“Ouch, that’s gotta hurt! Heheheheheh!” Tyson joked.
“Are you sure you can work this thing?” Duran asked a little nervously.
“Are you kidding? This is practically kid-stuff compared to everything else I’ve piloted, hang on!” Tyson grabs the controls and jabs them forward, making the machine accelerate. *ROAR* It’s Gergoth, his roar echoes as they come across conjoining tunnels.
Spyke calls up on the COM link, “Tyson watch out for his laser attack from his mouth!”
“LASER?!!!” Tyson screamed just as the purple blast shot out and damaged the tunneling machine a little, “YOU COULDA TOLD ME THAT THING HAD LASERS DUDE!!!”
“WELL, I WAS BUSY! JUST KILL THE FRIGGEN THING ALREADY!!”
“Ok, ok, ok, weapons! Does this thing have weapons?” Tyson flipped open a trigger latch and cannon turrets activated, “Ooh, Duran this is what I call ‘Ouch Time’, hahahaha!” A targeting crosshairs appeared on a hologram screen, Tyson twisted the joystick in Gergoth’s direction, “Mwahahah, eat this Zombie Dino Boy!!!” Tyson pulls the triggers and all the cannons fire toward Gergoth, blowing chunks of rotting flesh off! Gergoth fires his mouth laser at the ceiling in front of Tyson and Duran, a huge chunk of the rock came down as Tyson tried to brake with the foot pedals, but when he jammed the pedals down; instead of stopping the digger machine jumped into the air and over the debris!!
“Are you kidding me!? This thing’s got jump jacks!? Look, I know that Red is our main enemy but DAMN that guy can build!” Tyson howls. Gergoth blasts the wall from Tyson and Duran’s side and makes a huge boulder roll out; Tyson pulls the trigger under his right index finger and the front of the machine began to transform.
“Whoa, that’s a Pulse Drill! Hang on!” Tyson hits the other trigger and the drill begins to spin, swirling energy around it into a powerful spiral and tears right through the boulder, “Hey, what do you say we nip this freak in the tail?!” Tyson swings the controls to the left, smashing through the stone pillars and right behind Gergoth! But then he did something only a zombie could do, Gergoth turns his head all the way around towards the back, Tyson and Duran did all they could to keep from puking.
“That…is…disgusting!” Duran groans.
“I’ve seen a lot of weird and strange things in my life……but that’s just wrong!!!” Tyson groaned. Gergoth fired his mouth laser but when it hit the drill the energy swirled around it too, “Can you say, rebound?” Tyson punched it and rocket boosters fired, shooting them up to Gergoth and nailing him right in the tail but before they could get a second hit Gergoth rams through the left wall and disappeared.
“Huh, I guess we know how Spyke found out Gergoth can change elements now.” Tyson said as they drove on. Sparx was still holding onto Tyson’s blazer collar but he’s not there by choice, he was actually going to stay back with Cynder but when he started damaging the digger he was just too freaked out to let go.
As they rumbled down into a large chamber, “Digit, I know you’re there…” Digit appears in her little hologram form, “Can you patch into the diggers control system? This thing is too good to let Red have back.”
“Of course, be careful while you’re fighting him.” Digit says as they jump off and dash for the other side of the chamber.
Gergoth was mad as hell, staring down the two little maggots that fight against him, with a furious roar he charges!

Tyson and Duran are in mid-run when Gergoth lunges at them, Duran dashes to the side but Tyson leaps up onto Gergoth’s head and rams his sword into the decaying scull, suddenly a green light emerged from inside Gergoth’s head! Before Tyson could reach in and grab it Gergoth whipped his head and tossed him into the air, as he was coming down Gergoth tried to chomp him but Tyson jammed his sword between Gergoth’s teeth, tried to swing up onto his head again but his fangs broke!
“Jeez, this guy is just falling apart allover the place, literally!” Tyson yells. Duran is running around Gergoth’s right side when he jumps up and with one swing with his Claymore, smashed Gergoth’s arm right off. Gergoth rebounded and blasted Duran with his…(ugh)…sick mouth laser, Duran managed to block it but still got slammed into the floor.
Meanwhile, Cynder and Spyke were giving Drakath a run for his money. Drakath could now make two giant bony hands and shoot a two-pronged attack with both fire and lightning! Cynder blasted the fireballs with her Wind Spears and Spyke blocked the lightning with Earth Boulders, then Drakath showed a new move; he launched his giant fists forward covered in fire and electricity, they connected! But Cynder and Spyke were not about to slow down, Cynder jabbed her Rage Claws into the ground and a ‘Claw Shockwave’ raced across the ground and exploded on contact with Drakath! Cynder grabbed Spyke and swung him around and tossed him towards Drakath, Spyke covered himself with fire and flew at him and blasted him like a rocket. Cynder flew in and clocked Drakath in the chin with a kick, rolled over Spyke’s back, locked arms and rolled him over her back and kicked Drakath again, Spyke swung Cynder and sliced Drakath with her tail blade, Spyke dashed under her and slashed him with his sword, then they both dashed up to him and smashed him with a double punch.
Back at the fight with Gergoth, Tyson is running at him with lightning surging in his fists and Duran tossing his Claymore like a boomerang, just as Duran tosses his sword Tyson spins and creates a Volt Tornado. Tyson’s attack hit his right side and Duran’s attack bounces off Gergoth’s left and making the crack in his head bigger! Tyson now sees his chance and goes for it!
“Tyson, what are you doing!?” Duran shouts. Gergoth is disoriented but still tries to blast Tyson as he dashes toward him. Tyson Dragon Triggers and streaks toward Gergoth, sideswiping and sidestepping around and over his laser attack. Tyson reached Gergoth and jumped up to his left knee, Gergoth swiped at him with his only arm he had left but Tyson jumped up higher at the last second and Gergoth ended up smashing his own knee to pieces! As Gergoth stumbled Tyson leapt into his exposed ribcage and blasted everywhere with Pulse and Burst, his twin dragon-powered handguns, a huge plume explosion of smoke poured out from Gergoth’s chest. Tyson reappeared coming out of the top of the ribcage and onto Gergoth’s head. Tyson rammed Royal Legacy into Gergoth’s scull again and yanked it side to side even as Gergoth thrashed to and fro to throw Tyson off, he stood steadfast. The crack had shattered and was now fully open; inside Gergoth’s brain cavity was a Green Core Orb! Despite however disgusting it was, Tyson dropped inside and tugged at the Orb, now Gergoth was really losing it! He tried running his head into the ground and fired a laser at Duran. Tyson had to ditch the orb for now, flew toward Duran and made a huge Tundra Reflection Mirror Shield; the attack was really powerful now, Tyson somehow made the shield into a super prism that refracted the laser within it at least several hundred times. When Gergoth stopped firing, the refracted laser inside the shield was released and Gergoth was blasted with his own attack only hundreds of times more powerful. It was enough to knock him out so Tyson went for the Orb again, Tyson hopped in the scull and Duran tried to follow but just as the Orb was touched, Gergoth thrashed again, tossing Duran up and over behind him. Gergoth thrashed and thrashed just as Spyke and Cynder catch up with them, dragging Drakath’s unconscious heap behind them. Just then a spark appeared inside Tyson’s mind just as Gergoth whipped back and with the momentum Tyson was able to yank the Orb free.

Tyson landed safely behind Gergoth with the Orb in hand, Spyke, Cynder and Duran rush to his side.
“Tyson, you okay? Let me finish Gergoth off!” Spyke growled but Tyson stopped him, “Tyson what are you doing?”
“Wait…listen…you hear that?” A low somber growl echoed through the chamber…it was Gergoth!
“Huh? He could be trying to trick us!” Spyke said.
“No wait…when I got the Orb free I saw something……his memories! They were of the village he used to protect…You said that he didn’t know why he was sealed away, right? And how Duran fought against the darkness inside him and won? I think Gergoth may have come back to his senses!” Tyson explained. Just then Gergoth rumbled around and looked at them, especially Tyson…*growl*
“Huh, what do you mean?” Tyson said.
“What is it, Tyson?” Duran asked.
“I can understand him?” Tyson said.
“Well, it’s said that dragons can understand the language of any creature. What did he say?” Duran said.
“Actually he asked, ‘what happened to the children’? I think he must be asking about the children of the village he used to protect!” Tyson explained. Just then Gergoth began to roar but it wasn’t an attacking roar but a sorrowful roar.
“He’s…crying?” Cynder said.
“Yeah…he was supposed to be a protector but was turned into a killer monster.” Tyson said. *growl-groan*
“WHAT!?” Tyson shouted.
“What is it?” Spyke asked.
“He wants me to destroy him! But…I can’t, he’s come back to his senses maybe he can help us…” Tyson said. *moan-groooowl*
“He said he can’t. He’s spilled too much blood…taken too many lives…he doesn’t want to be this monstrosity anymore.” Cynder translated as Gergoth growled.
“But…Gergoth, there’s gotta be another way?!” Tyson shouted.
*growl* “I’m sorry, warrior. But this must be done…I have failed my duty to protect them…this is the only way I can think of to hopefully earn forgiveness for what I have done.” Gergoth spoke within Tyson’s mind. Suddenly Drakath came to and started blasting them with fire and lightning.
“I’ll kill you all myself if I have to!” Suddenly Gergoth crashed in and chomped Drakath and held him in his fangs, “What are you doing, you festering sack of rotting flesh?!”
“Tyson, now, do it!” Spyke shouted.
“Tyson, Gergoth asked you to do this. Are you going to deny a last request?” Cynder said. The Green Orb grew brighter and settled across his back, two shoulder cannons appeared, the barrels were shaped like dragon heads. Tyson grabbed hold of the barrel handles and began charging energy when Cynder placed her hand on his left shoulder, then Spyke on his right shoulder, then Duran. They all helped charge up energy as Gergoth fought to keep Drakath clenched in his jaws, when the Geo-Cannon was fully charged Gergoth swung around and placed his head in the line of fire! Energy poured out of both barrels, the energy was unbelievable! The blast was so powerful that once it hit both Drakath and Gergoth they were pushed all the way backwards through the tunnel. The cannon beam was huge, it filled the tunnel and carved it smooth and circular, Gergoth’s body slowly broke away and even the shards of his bones were burned away by the blast! Finally the blast shot them out of the mouth of the cave and high into the air, hundreds of feet in the air both Drakath and Gergoth were swallowed by the blast and an explosion destroyed any last trace of them. Drakath was finally destroyed once and for all but while everyone is cheering Tyson feels like he’s just lost a new friend and ally, then he notices something stuck to his sword. It’s a Bone Shard from Gergoth…instead of throwing it away he places it on a boulder that’s jutting up from the ground, like a shrine of some kind.
“Tyson, we gotta go!” Cynder called. Digit drove the Digger back to the small town where everyone was hollering in celebration and someone special emerged from the crowd.
“Duran? Is that you?”
“Mayla!?” Duran said.
“Yes, it is you! After all this time you still have the flower I gave you!” she said.
“You look so different now?” Duran asked.
“It’s been almost 20 years since that day! And today is the day that we first met.” Mayla said.
“I am sorry that your old home looks like this…” Duran shrunk away.
“Duran…I knew after all this time that you would still protect this town, even if I went away. And now I’m back to stay…I missed you my old friend.” Mayla walks up and gives Duran a hug but he doesn’t do anything perverted until he reaches for her backend but she doesn’t mind.
“So you aren’t gonna be coming with us are you Duran?” Tyson asks.
“No, I’m going to stay here and help with the reconstruction of the town. It’s the duty of a guardian to help with anything, right?” Duran said.
“Yeah, well you take care. We’ll send extra help over here soon.” Tyson said as they began to walk off but Duran rushes up for some reason.
“Wait…I almost forgot to give you this. It has a mark on it that looks like your sword and when I saw you on TV a few weeks ago I knew then that you would need this.” Duran said.
Tyson opened it up and it turns out to be a map, “Look at this, I think that this could lead us to where the Master Core Orb is hidden. Let’s get this back to Ignitus and the others and see what they make of it, thanks Duran, hope to see ya again buddy!”
Hope pulls Cynder aside and whispers, “I know you might find this strange but I remember you!”
“Well, yeah…”
“No, I mean I remember seeing you when we hatched! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to remember that…Cynder, I’m your sister!” Hope said.
“What?!” Cynder staggered.
“The reason we never met was Gaul was only interested in you and had his goons abandon me in the middle of nowhere, but I was adopted and saved and now here we are!” Hope explained.
“If you’re really my sister, then tell me, what happened to our parents?” Cynder asked.
“Sorry, I don’t remember a thing about them. Gaul took us when we were still eggs. But I’m sure we’ll find them one day soon!” Hope said.
Once on the way home Tyson goes over the map and freaks out for some reason, “Oh man!!!”
“Tyson, what’s the matter?” Cynder asked.
“Whatever this map leads to, the closest one is in the Ling Zhou Province! After what happened the last time I was there, I am NOT going back there…”
