Episode 7: Warrior of Earth!
Dark Prophecy!
“……GAHHHH, MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT, GET YER TAILS IN HIGH GEAR!!!” Tyson screamed as he Cynder, Richard, and Rick run from an endless hoard of enraged psycho cannibal pygmies in an old abandoned ruin where the last Guardian, Terrador, was located. No matter how many Tyson shoots or Cynder blasts and everything, there was just no end to them. They were about to reach the chamber where the Dark Gate is, Rick and Richard started to close the doors to the chamber while Tyson and Cynder slipped through the crack before it closed all the way.
“*huffhuffhuff* Richard…next time we take you on a mission…don’t slice the statue…that an endless hoard of murderous insane, tear-out-our-throats-and-eat-our-hearts cannibal pygmies worship, or else I’ll kick your tail up and down this whole place.” Tyson wheezed.
“Yeah…I’ll remember that…” Richard huffed.
“There’s the gate!” Cynder pointed to the shadows as lightning cracked outside. Tyson ran over to free Terrador, “I sense it, there was a crystal here before but it was taken.”
“WHAT THE?! HEY, HE’S NOT HERE!” Tyson yelled.
“What, but how, I mean aren’t you the only one who can free them from their orbs?” Rick asked.
“Hey, what about that girl we saw running out of the ruins earlier? Maybe she might know who took him?” Cynder said.
“Perhaps but for now I’ll smash this gate…wait, now the gate’s disappeared!? Who the heck is messing with us!?” Tyson yelled.
After the storm has passed elsewhere, a young girl is walking slowly to a hidden cave outside the ruins about a half a mile away, “Hello…are you still there?” she says quietly.
There’s no answer but she hears something that no one else can, “Oh, I so glad you are unharmed. I believe that there is a group of people who are after you, but I’m not going to let them hurt you, o great Earth Spirit.”
“I can’t believe it, after three days we still haven’t come up with any leads. What if that ShadowKiller’s boss got him, come to think of it I haven’t been able to get any info on whoever this guy is, not even my uncle or my other friends around the world have anything.” Tyson said.
“We’ll find out sooner or later, let’s just try and find Terrador.” Cynder said.
“Yeah, but can we stay out creepy places like that from now on?”
“Wha…Sparx how did you get here?!” Tyson asked.
“I hitched a ride on Cynder’s horns, what else?” he said.
“How many times have I told you not to?” she snapped.
“Uh…I lost track…” he joked.
“Very funny, Sparx.” Cynder mocked.
Unknown to the team a sinister enemy is watching their every move from afar, “Those pitiful fools believe that they can prevent the end of the world. Interesting that she managed to survive after all…regardless, my powers have returned even stronger than before. I will deal with the boy and Cynder at another time but I will not be defeated this time, your death shall come soon…Tyson…”
“Huh?” Tyson turned around and looked at a tower off in the distance.
“Tyson, what is it?” Cynder asked.
“I don’t know, it felt like someone……ah, never mind it’s nothing.” Tyson said shrugging the weird feeling. Later at night back at the inn, Rick and Richard are wrestling over the remote, Cynder is in the shower, and Tyson is waiting for a friend of his who lives in this region to show up.
*knockknock* “Doc Odem, glad you could make it.” Tyson said.
“For a star pupil, of course; now what is it you wanted to speak with me about.” He asked.
“It’s about my dad. One of his last research reports said he wanted to follow up on something with you, but he never showed up did he?” Tyson asked.
“Well, your father discovered something that seemed very troubling.” Doc said.
“About what?” Tyson asked.
“He wouldn’t tell me everything but he did say it had something to do with the ‘Destiny of Darkness and Light’. It was one of his theories before he disappeared but I have no idea what it could mean.” Doc explained.
“I suppose you don’t know where he is then?” Tyson asked.
“I’m sorry but he recently sent me this little fragment from somewhere in the world and told me to give it to you.” Doc reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of something. Suddenly the necklace that Tyson found at Dawn Valley began to tug toward the fragment, the piece levitated toward the necklace and in a flash of light fused together to form an almost complete amulet.
“He said in the letter that one day soon you will discover your true self. But if I know your father like I do now, it’s that he loves to speak in riddles. Perhaps you can figure it out but as for now I must take my leave, I’m afraid that my daughter, Susie, hasn’t come home for some time but she has been seen in the markets purchasing food for some reason. Take this picture and if you see her tell her if her not coming home is because of the argument we had that I’m sorry and to please come home.” Doc said.
“Sure thing good night, Doc.” Tyson said.
“Who’s the photo of, Tyson?” Cynder asked still wrapped in a towel.
“Uhh, it’s of a professor friend’s daughter who’s missing right now because of a fight they had.” Tyson explained.
“HEY, that’s the girl I saw running out of the ruins right when we arrived, she wasn’t carrying anything then but in this it looks like she’s holding a ball of some kind and trying to hide it.” Cynder said.
“You think…” Tyson said.
“Maybe, but we’ll have better luck in the morning. For now let’s go to bed, my paws are killing me and you still need rest regardless of those images.” Cynder said pulling Tyson over to the bed.
“I’m fine, I just need to check with…” Tyson said.
“No, you’re getting in bed right now! All this other stuff can wait, besides how are you going to save the world if you can’t even stay awake for two minutes?” Cynder said…as she lifted Tyson off the ground, over her head and tossed him onto the bed!
“Whoa, okay you’re a lot stronger than you look Cynder! Remind me never to get on your bad side…” he joked, “Alright, you win, I’ll take it easy…but I just can’t help but feel that someone or something’s evil and murderous intent actually bearing down on me…”
“You’re probably just tired from trying to sleep like that ‘bat-guy’ from that movie you like so much.” Cynder joked back.
Morning came ever so slowly…*BOOM*, an explosion rocks the entire building as Dragols bust through the door, Tyson shoots them down easily runs into the hallway and shoots down others so that civilians could get out safely.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Richard asked.
“You’re asking the wrong guy here man! But I’m thinking it may have something to do with Susie! Alright, you guys help these people get to safety while me and Cynder try to find Susie!” Tyson said grabbing his blazer and taking off while Cynder hops on one leg trying to get dressed and following Tyson at the same time.
The whole village was in panic as Dragols ran around tearing up everything, Tyson activated TimeMaster style and slashed every enemy in the area before it clocked out and time resumed.
“Tyson, look those Dragols are chasing Susie!” Cynder yelled as she took to the air and pounced on every one of them but Susie kept running and turned into an alleyway.
“Susie, its okay we’re here to help!” Cynder said.
“No, you are lying. You are here to try and harm him, but I won’t let you!” she shouted.
“No really, we’re here to help. Your dad is really worried about you and he says he’s sorry about the fight. I’m Tyson Drakes, a friend of your dad.” Tyson said extending a hand to help her up. But she reached behind her and pulled out…a smoke bomb! Susie pulled the pin and tossed it toward them and as it blew she ran past them but Tyson managed to grab a small bit of the cloth she was carrying before Cynder blew the smoke away.
“Huh, Tyson I can sense Terrador again!” Cynder said.
“Oh man, this cloth must block out your senses so that you couldn’t find him. That proves it; the Dragols are after Susie because SHE has Terrador! We gotta find her before they do or else it’s gonna get ugly!” Tyson said.
Back at the ancient ruins in a hidden area in the center of the old place Susie uncovers Terrador’s orb, “I made a promise to you, that I would protect you no matter what. I’ve taken care of you ever since you were discovered by me and I will continue to do so.”
“Very admirable, for a weak female of an inferior species.” A cold voice echoed. Susie looked and saw the Dark Gate and winged armor plated creature with dozens of Dragols waiting behind him.
“But I’m afraid you have to die…” *BANG* a bullet glances off its armor.
“Y’know, I’m not really one to just stand on the side lines and let a girl with her whole future ahead of her be killed just like that…its not in my job description.” Tyson mocked.
“Huh, you mean they are your friends? But what if they’re not…you mean he’s…” Susie whispered.
“Enough of this, Dragols slay them!” he threw his arm forward and on command the Dragols charged. Tyson held out his hand and Terrador levitated out of Susie’s arms even though she tried to stop him. The Dragols were getting too close and she was frozen with fear.
“Strong and unmovable like a mountain; your sense of justice is solid and steady! You see what one is truly like not by their words but what they fight for, you are….TERRADOR!” an explosion of green light filled the area, Susie slowly opened her eyes as she heard the flapping of powerful wings getting closer and a powerful voice roars out, “SUSIE!!!” As the light faded a huge green dragon took Susie in his arms and with his mighty spiked-club tail smashed a huge group of Dragols in one swing.
“Susie, you are safe now.” A deep strong voice calmly sounded in her ear. Susie looks up to see Terrador’s curved horned face over her.
“You’re the Great Earth Spirit!” Susie said.
“My real name is Terrador. I thank you Susie, you protected me when I could not. Even though I was not of your same kind, I will never be able to repay the debt I owe you.” He said.
“Terrador look out behind you!” Susie screamed as a Dragol leapt at them. *BOOM* a loud shockwave blew the Dragol deep into the wall on the opposite side of the area. They turned to see Tyson wearing earth green gauntlets and greaves.
“Well, now these two got me all fired up! One against two dozen Dragols, and you are supposed to be?” Tyson mocked.
“A Draglok, their commander!” he said.
“Okay then, get ready to eat FIST!” Tyson jumped into the air and just as he landed, slammed a fist into the ground with insane strength and created stone spikes that shot up into the Dragols around him, several lunged at him from all directions; he stood on his hands and spun around with is legs stretched out and spun like a helicopter, kicking them rapidly. Seven down, Tyson dashed forward and jumped and kicked and punched in every direction, sending every one of them screaming into the walls. Their was just one Dragol left that came from behind, Tyson spun on one toe with the other stretched out, the Tatsumakisempukyaku, better know as the Hurricane Kick! He knocked the Dragol right into the Draglok and into the Gate.
The Draglok looks up only to see Tyson not four feet away, “Heh, no contest.” He slides one foot forward, waves his arms in front of him; one moving downward and the other upwards, the tip of his right gauntlet just an inch away from the Dragloks face, “Y’know I’ve always wanted to say this like I meant it!” He jabbed the Draglok with immense force into the Gate and sent cracks rippling all the way up it, breaking it apart and sending chunks everywhere, he brought his right arm back and howled, “SHORYUKEN!!!!” and smashed the Draglok and leapt with the force of the uppercut and spun in the air, striking him several times while at the same time hitting chunks of the gate while rising higher into the air, than he flipped and began kicking the Draglok and more chunks and then he kicked and struck the airborne chunks with the Draglok before twisting around and hitting him with both the right fist and left leg. Tyson landed first and clenched a fist and growled as huge chunks of gate pile up behind him with the Draglok landing on top, Tyson jumped high up into the air and the silhouette of a green dragon surrounded Tyson as he flipped forward and brought the most insanely powerful axe kick down on top of the Draglok and slicing through the chunks of the gate and slamming down into the ground and creating a massive crater with the power of the Earth Fury Attack.
“Now that…rocked!” Tyson joked. He walked toward the others when out of nowhere a black bolt of lightning crashed down behind Tyson, creating the biggest explosion they’ve seen yet and even rocked the whole village and shattered windows. The shockwave threw Tyson to the ground and when he turned he saw someone standing in the crater the bolt made. Tyson dashed toward the attacker but his punch was stopped cold. With one quick punch to the gut the enemy sent Tyson flying with such speed into the wall that the entire area behind where Tyson hit was completely destroyed!
“How pitiful…you have become even weaker since we last fought…Spyro!” that voice, but it can’t be! The smoke cleared to show a dragon/human that looked like……MALEFOR!!!!
“But you were destroyed, how can you…” Cynder was cut off when he appeared in front of her and grabbed her by the throat.
“You should know that I am Immortal, Cynder!” Malefor threw her into the wall with such force that the front of the ruins were blown to pieces.
He turns to Tyson and with a scowl says, “If you wish to face me again and come to your death, go to the top of the DarkMoon Tower…I’ll be waiting.” Before Tyson could run his sword through him he disappears in a bolt of lightning.
“Damn…things just got a hell of a lot harder…oh boy…”
