This is my story from DA and it is by far the most popular one I've made. It combines Devil May Cry elements with Spyro, it's my take on what happens after the special scene at the end of Dawn of the Dragon.
This is the Legend of Cynder: Destiny of Darkness and Light
Prologue: It Begins…
It has been only a year after the defeat of the Dark Master Malefor at the hands of Spyro and Cynder, yet they are nowhere to be found. Although peace has flowed all throughout the world an ominous darkness begins to loom over their world. This darkness is somehow even more powerful than an army of hundreds of Malefor himself. One day it happened, the world began to tear apart but it was not that Spyro’s power that was holding the world together was weakening but something far worse. Gaping holes have begun appearing everywhere; these holes are in fact torn rifts between the very dimensional thresholds of their dimension and that of another. To make things worse Spyro has vanished without a trace and so Cynder has taken it upon herself to find Spyro and save the world before its too late. Hours after the disaster began she finds him, trapped in the grip of a huge knight-armor like wearing monster. She’s about to lunge in and save him when a dimensional rift tears open right behind her, she digs her claws into the ground to try and pull herself free but the vortex was just to strong and it ripped her right out of the ground and she was flung into the rift. Before the rift closed on her she suffered the greatest blow she had ever felt to her heart, witnessing that armored monster ram its sword through Spyro’s heart, murdering him before her eyes, “NNOOOOO!!!!!!”
Elsewhere, watching the nighttime sky a young boy watches the stars and wonders if there really is life on other planets. Just then a massive flash lit up the entire sky and vanished just as fast as it happened. He looked up and saw that a very bright star that was a particular favorite of his was gone. Just as he thought it was over another but smaller flash of light came streaking over him and crashing in the woods behind. He goes to investigate and is startled by what he finds; a small black creature with wings and two silver bracelets on its neck and the middle of its tail. Almost instantly he was at the little creature’s side and picked it up into his arms.
Just then Cynder began to come around and was confused at what she saw; she woke up in a strange looking creatures arms. It had no horns or wings not even a tail so it couldn’t be a dragon, it had short black hair only on its head so it couldn’t be one of Gaul’s leftover ape soldiers, no claws or fangs, not even fur like Hunter, “What is this thing?” she thought. Then the creature spoke.
“Hey, are you alright, nothing broken? You look a little beaten and bruised but nothing too serious.” Then Cynder’s eyes lit up, “That voice…that voice is exactly like Spyro’s but how?”
“Uh, yeah I’m fine for the most part.” she answers.
“Wow, I didn’t know you could talk. Are you sure you can stand?” Cynder took a good look at her surroundings; it’s totally different than her world.
“Where am I? And who and what are you?” she asked.
“I guess you’re not from this world, huh? This world is called…Earth. And my name is Tyson and I’m a human. What are you, if it’s alright that I ask?” he answered.
“I am a dragon and my name is Cynder!” she replied.
“Wow, you guys really are real, but I think you meant to say ‘dragoness’ because you’re a girl, no offense. In any case it’s an honor to meet you Cynder. Now I think it would be a good idea if you come with me to my home, I’ll take care of you until we can find a way to get you back to your home.” Tyson said. Reluctantly Cynder decides to follow this human knowing that he could be her only chance at getting back home and maybe possibly saving Spyro…
