I never write things. What am I doing? Well I didnt have class today and to get away from the distractions in my house, I went to work in the library.....but I left my tablet. So I thought..Why not open my minds eye and type a little? You don't have to read this crap. Nothing important happens.
A clock struck 4:50 P.M in the vice principals office. Just after school when teachers were straightening out their desk and leaving for home for the day. But there were two staff members who were set on staying an extra five to ten minutes concerning an important matter. The floor creaked as two figures moved through the quiet deserted hallways. One figure was much taller then the other.
When they had arrived at the vice principals door, it had opened without warning. "Please. Come on in." A voice preached out to the arriving, welcoming them inside. They did as they were told and closed the door shut behind them. The shorter figure took a seat, his face was revealed from a desk lamplight. A pokestudent. A Marshtomp who had a pecurliar aura about him. He didn't seem to be distressed being called to the princpals office. The Marshtomp relaxed his head back on the armchair, showing off his trademarked goggles and cap. He also wore an orange shirt and a dark coat over it with matching jeans.
The student sighed as the second figure was revealed. A taller much older woman. Her orange feathers gave a dead give away that this lady was a Ho-oh. A teacher in fact. Her attitude seemed the opposite of the students. She seemed more nervous and worried for whatever reason. She wore a green scarf on her and long lime green curly hair flew from it down to her shoulders. Her burgundy suit and skirt did suggest that she was some kind of authority. She remained standing tapping her foot waiting for the other unknown voice to say something. The last figure grabbed hold of a lamp next to him and switched it on, revealing himself to be none other than Thaddeus Metoyer, one of the school's vice principals. There was nothing out of the ordinary in his attire. He seemed to wear the same kind of outfit everywhere he went.
The fishy principal smiled and sat behind his desk. "There's no need to be so stiff Genevieve." He called out to the teacher. He then turned his attention to the Marshtomp. "You however, you have some explaining to do." The Marshtomp shrugged and then scratched his head. "I did the researching you told me to." The student replied. The Ho-oh just nodded, still nervous for a still mysterious reason. "Nyes..and I helped him sir." She rushed the words out of her beak. The fish continued smiiling as he turned his attention to the Ho-Oh. "Please. Sit down." He motioned his hand to the other comfatable armchair next to the student. She did as ordered and plopped herself down in to cushy seat. Her feathery fingers took the place of her feet and tapped on the arm of the chair.
The principal reached into his desk and brought out a file that was obviously ready before they had arrived. "Now I know you both know what you are here for, but its only fair to go over it again. Marsh." He directed his next words to the student. "You know providing false information is a huge crime. However, I symphatise why you would do such a thing after you had explained to me. Its truly amazing. You're not the first student to have paid and provide information by himself you know." The Marshtomp looked away. It was true, he had managed to pay entry fee into the school. It was only his freshman year and he had worked so hard to get into the school. He didn't do it by himself but that was another story. He remained silent as the principal continued.
"After doing a background check, we have deduced that your name is not in fact: Marsh Tomp. Are we following?" he asked to both of them. The Marshtomp sighed. "Yes." Genevieve turned away also. "Zis is true. But because we couldn't find any information on his parents, we could not determine what is born, legal name was." Metoyers smile faded. "Yes.. that is correct. Until now. Because of powers beyond our control however, we need something put on our records. Mr. Marshtomp. All we ask is for your legal name and we won't have any problems passing records back and forth as we did before."
Marsh sighed again. Metoyer continued. "Because you have lived with your so called sister for a majority of your life, I would assume your last name is Mario? Is it not?" Marsh shooked his head. "That's not true. If I could ask for some more time to do some more research about my origin, then I could give you an answer. I was adopted by Bel's parents, but I refuse to take her name. I don't think she thinks I should either." Marsh turned back to his superior. "I can however tell you my first name. Morley. My name is Morley. That's one thing I do remember."
The principal blinked. "Well well well! You scared me for a second there! Well this is half of the puzzle. We just do a search on the name and we're sure to find-" The Marshtomp interrupted abrubtly. "NO! I can't have you do that!" He stood up and leaned on the desk in front of you. "Please! This is something I really want to find out on my own! " If one were to know about the Marshtomps story, they would know that this particular kid left home at a very early age. The reason was still unknown. Its possible that he was lost and then later found by the Mario's a family of fire types. His hometown was supposedly in a village near Pastoria, but he has never been able to find it. He continued begging.
"Please sir! You have to understand!" The principal smiled again. "And this is why I have called Genevieve as well. She is your legal guardian at the moment isn't she?" Marsh stood back up. "Wh-what? I mean she checks occasionally but I-" The principal interupted and turned to the teacher. "This is what you reported Gene. I don't think he knew about this. But if you're willing to take responsibility, then I'm fine with it. Marsh.. we have your first name now. But from now until you find your true origin, we have no choice but to call you Morley Edwina." Marsh stayed quiet for a while as he turned to Edwina. He was speechless. It was a long awkward pause before he finally started putting some words through his mouth. "B-but why? Is that even legal?"
The principal stood up. "Let this be our little secret until we discover the truth then. Is that fine?" Genevieve smiled. "This little kid has been helping me since I've got here. I promised him I would repay the favor. Now come on Marsh." She stood up as well and grabbed hold onto his jacket. Marsh objected. "But wait!" Thaddeus waved his hand dismissing the two. "If you still want to go around calling yourself Marsh Tomp then that is fine! I for one love nicknames! But we have something legal to put on your record now. Bye bye!"
