Finally finished up this complex coloring project. The lineart was originally done for a contest, but I didn't get around to coloring it until about a month ago.
...Then I had to figure out what to do with that background! I didn't want anything too complex, because the angels are complex enough. I decided to go with some simple string art - yes, with gold thread and everything - using simple techniques I picked up in art class 'round about junior high. The thread is sealed with about half a pint of acrylic gloss varnish, and just for giggles, I added blue glitter. Naturally, there is now blue glitter turning up absolutely everywhere, and I shall never be rid of it. But it looks pretty!

Angels: ink, Prismacolor Premier pencils, and a bit of acrylic on the halos and swords.
Background: acrylic paint, gold thread sewn into holes I punched into the board, glitter, and glossy varnish.
