The first night without a crib can be the hardest both on the cub and the parents. Seems MJ just couldn't sleep in that bed so he has wandered into his parents room to see if he could sleep with them. I'm sure they will try to get him back in his bed but then again how can someone say no to a snugly little bear like that?

Way to capture that first night of restless sleep, MJ. The face and pose speak volumes towards how much he wanted to try and make it work, but just needs to have maybe one special night with mom and dad to build up that courage to make it happen. :)
Another great point is your background. Did you color that, or did you use cardboard and other supplies to help bring out the scenery? It may just be me, but there are points where it almost looks 3D. Particularly that back wall and what I believe is that angled window on the left-side.

Thanks a bunch yosh, making little stories with my pics is a lot of fun and I thought this one went well too. Maybe the next night went a little smoother too^^
As for the background its just colored. Instead of inking and then coloring like many of my pics I used the pencil sketch and colored over with Sai. Was my first use of that program and let some of the paper texture come through when coloring. That might be the cardboard look that you are getting. I think what you are seeing as the window was meant as a wall and hallway for that added dimension you are talking. And what looks like a wall was meant as floor. But I can see how it looks like what you thought as well. Either way glad it could add that 3d feel for ya as well^^
