Originally Based off of a semi-automatic operating system developed in the final days of the Monarchy, the STGR52 is the standard rifle of the FVR. functions off of an operating system similar to the Roller Delayed Blowback principle. It fires the Standard 8mm Vulpine Military rifle round.
Firing a full size rifle round, all rifles are made in Semi Automatic. Being a rifle design almost 40 years old, the FVR has been planning to Phase it out replacing it with a newer more practical rifle.
There are many Variants of this rifle. There is a carbine version, which often is turned down in favor of a sub machine gun due to it's heavy recoil. There are several companies in line proposing designs to replace or update the rifle, including RVASKE industries.

I know it isn't a real weapon, but it LOOKS like it came from those "dark days" of automatic weapons, the 50s and 60s, when weapons-smiths were still trying to get a grasp on what the new weapon systems of the late 20th century would mean for warfare, and how best to adapt to those changes.
