After having fought off the giant alien octopus on the Roian shores they went for a ride in the triceratop's fancy yacht. I think they're doing something they saw on telly one time.

I imagine that after an epic battle where they successfully managed to drive off an alien cephalopod everybody is probably still exhilarated from the thrill of victory and there was probably an equivalent to the Titanic movie with a similar scene like they're recreating here. Gaua seems to be thinking it's maybe wasn't a good idea but that could just as equally be common sense as being nervous.
Someone could end up falling overboard if they hit a large wave, most likely Gaua with Demitri's grip not being quite as secure and the dimetrodon isn't really paying as much attention. Hopefully the alien cephalopod isn't even now following the yacht underwater and waiting to grab anyone whom does end up falling overboard in its tentacles.
