I approve of this image in many, many ways~ XD Heck, that there hammer is even bigger than me usual one (although I can see why modern ones are rounded for the sake of aerodynamics, hehe~). ...*polishes armor to make it all gold and distractingly sparkly*

My motto is basically... the perfect size is so I can wield it swiftly without slowing me down too much~ A weapon is not too useful if it is too sluggish, after all! (Of course, the more one works out, the bigger said weapon can be before such a limit is hit... hehehe. XD)
Very wise. If your enemy is faster, then him dodging your weapon could prove fatal. Speed in strikes is important. Heck if your swift enough with a heavy weapon, you could probably assassinate someone with it. Imagine adding that to your rep. Gives new meaning to the phrase "the strong silent type."
