Yeah that and the nose hairs, I can see it.

Even though Kirins are 'Asian Unicorns', I always considered them dragons as well because they're scaley n' all.

They're only part scaley usually, and I don't know they don't look dragon-esque at all to me.
And I don't see them as unicorns either, since when I imagine kirins I imagine them with the more.. antler sort of style of horns. Just because it's shaped somewhat like a horse with something on it's head doesn't mean it's a wannabe unicorn.

I think they're unique. :)
