My Adventures with Cheetahs... it lasted for 2 weeks. >w< Oh I had so much fun. These are my best photos of them. There were three females and a male. All siblings. Ellie, Roswell, Morishka, and Kai.
It's hard to tell Ellie and Morishka apart except for their feet markings. >.< Ellie had a "bar" spot on her right foot and Morshka didn't. Roswell was the smallest (top middle cheetah) Kai didn't have the white tipped tail. His was mostly black... middle right. He also was the biggest and had a fuzzy mane.
They were all human raised at a preserve park.. fancy place.. I went there for a visit (even though it was raining that day). But the keepers were all female. Soooo only females could interact with the cheetahs. ( Except Kai... he loved everyone! ) They got a lure line that every Saturday they get to play with. ZOOOOM they go. As well as several toys in their exhibit. I took a picture of one hugging a tree. XD So cute. They reminded me of dogs and not cats. They would bump into you and lick you all over... they also purr! Kai was the loudest. Just yell out his name and you could hear him start... even if he's on the other side of the exhibit!
Interaction with people was always monitored and everyone had radios so no danger was present. Feeding time they were all kept separately and caged until they were all done... then back out they go. Them... hungry = dangerous. During my stay with them Kai and one of the females went and had their yearly check-up. However, during wake up time Kai died. ; ^ ; I cried so much I felt like a dork. It was an accident which happens sometimes with exotic species... or at least something as large as Kai.
I don't regret my visit... and I would love to return to see the girls. ♥
