Grew up and lived in a mountain village of his clan, after meeting with Hirose went with him in search of adventure and study.
Can't control his magic, because in his village there was not a single magic teacher (within werewolves it is extremely rare to be born with magic abilities).
As a child, he accidentally set his parents house on fire, both died before they could get out. Because of this accident, he have a very strong mental trauma and a fear of his own magic. Since then, he had tried to avoid other werewolves and led a solitary life.
Only Hirose was able to find the right approach to him and say the right words, after which Kayo immediately fell in love with the dragon and went with him on a journey around the world. Hirose also acts as a mentor, as he have an incredible knowledge of magic (although he can't actually use any magic)
