I almost think the weapon is a MAC-10 or MAC-11.

it's sorta a M11. You combined features of several similar guns, none of which have ridged grips like that or magazines with a line there, although I've seen at least one airsoft model with those features.

Could be an airsoft model, or another make called Laramie that I had in mind -- I have a Laramie Uzi rifle, but never bought the Laramie Mac 11 -- so I would have been working from memory likely.

I had a Laramie Uzi. A battery operated water gun with an un-uzi like stock copied from that of the M3 'greasegun'.

Sounds like the same one except that mine has the standard pressed metal fold-up stock of a real Uzi. I've often wondered if there was some way to re-build it to un-fold, but it would be just plain too much work. It would have had to be built from scratch practically.

I did, however, modify the upper part of the magazine to hold a realistic looking round, and even spring-loaded the grip-safety. Drilled three shallow holes to hold white paint where the fire selector was as well. You can't fualt those Laramies for being super-accurate...

Hmm. you could always order a real Uzi stock and grind off the plastic one. Uzi stocks run about 15 bucks as surplus.

I doubt it would match the plastic body very well, without an over-all paint job, and those wear off on corners and edges. Besides, the actual stock was an ugly piece of shit if you ask me.

Did I mention that it had a slot to feed those hi-tech plastic coated caps in? I never used it. And with the modifed magazine, it isn't a squirt gun either.

That's the sort on my Laramie, actually. I don't mind it folded up, but unfolded it looks like a couple of metal straps that have been riveted together at an awkward angle.

Well, that almost describes the whole gun - ugly but sturdy.

It's an uzi, probably model M2 with silencer. As for the guest character, sorry no clue, but i like the skunks aim.

The Uzi has a similar pistol-grip magazine housing, but the front end is much longer in standard models. Also, the foregrip should be more rounded for an Uzi. So I think it was the MAC I had in mind. Check the penciled page -- Adrian may have blurred the details slightly.

Argh, damn I thought i got it. Oh well, proves that I am not a gun-nerd after all.

The inked pages were left unlettered deliberately. The balloons were supposed to have been properly lettered before publication, but publication never happened. To read the story, check out the penciled pages, that I hand-lettered so that I knew what was going on while I drew it.

already did. i must admit, I did this before reading it. Trying to make heads or tails of it, kinda didn't work so my mind filled in the blanks in a comical way.

however, afterward, I read it, and it made A LOT MORE SENSE.

I could easily do it myself. But without express permission from Al, I'd feel like I was high-jacking his story. I only just barely feel justified showing the art.
