https://www.furaffinity.net/user/e5111/ asked: "So, if you haven't addressed this already at some point, what's the red streak in Gwae's hair?"
Gwae's response: "Me hair? Aye, I got it from me Ma. Bit of craic, me Ma was a Seelie, but I am Unseelie. Me hair is naturally this colour, but sometimes human's think I dye it. I can change it with a wee bit of glamour though."
Author's notes: Gwae's hair is her natural colour, although what is natural to a creature of Faerie is a broader concept than what is natural to a human. She can use her glamour, a magical power of illusion possessed by all Fae to change her hair colour, but the silver and maroon is her natural hue. When Gwae does use her magic to pass as human, she most often has black hair.
The Seelie Court, also known as the Court of Summer or Summerscourt is run by Titania, Queen of Summer. It operates in a state of balance and opposition to the Court of Winter, also known as the Unseelie Court or Winterscourt, which is ruled by The Morrigan, Queen of Winter. Gwae, as an Unseelie Fae, is associated with Winter, Darkness and Death, her silver hair a visual connection to her powers. (Her skin is also quite pale and often cold to the touch)
Kroashent has changed a lot since as it has been developed over the past 2 years. One side project I had was character question and answers, where the cast of Kroashent would answer your burning questions about themselves and their world of Alvez. As Kroashent has changed so much recently, it seemed like a good chance to update some of the outdated questions with more accurate information and better artwork. Some new formats should allow me a better chance to get a real turnaround on these without losing them in the cracks. Consider this the start of a new series of Q+A. To celebrate "Gwaepril", I'm going to focus on Kroashent's Sidhe merchant, Gwaeron Súlimë Dethemir.
Do you have a question for Gwae (or another Kroashent character?) Interested in learning more about Alvez, the World of Kroashent? Then type your question below any of the Q+A entries and they will do their best to respond!

Then she is surprisingly kind and honorable for a member of the Unseelie. From what I understand, usually the Unseelie are associated with the side of nature that's colder, crueler, and generally associated with death, pestilence, etc. Is she unseelie because of her unique heritage as a particular type of fae bloodline or is it something else?
One of the goals of Kroashent is to subvert a lot of the tropes that have become associated with Celtic mythology, in large part because of the cultural mores of the translators (The Romans, the early Christians and the Romantics). This includes both the Fae in general as a rejection of their "demonization" and using the Winter Court in a way that ties it to the cycles of life and death. Both Seelie and Unseelie have their own pitfalls and virtues. For example, the Seelie spread life. That's ALL life, not just the "good" life, but also things like Plague Bacteria. The Unseelie balance that out. In older Celtic beliefis, they are opposing forces, but also reliant on each other for a balance. Its less "Good and Evil" but a cycle of death and rebirth.
Gwae's kindness is something of an exception amongst the fae in general, not just the Unseelie. The Fae have a very alien morality system, that comes across as callous and indifferent to a mortal observer.

Typically in most translations, this is true, but can also be ascribed to translations seeking to recast the balance in "good and evil", rather than the more nuanced cyclical nature of earlier accounts.
In Kroashent, the Summer Court is equally vindictive as the Winter Court, but on a day to day basis are less aggressive towards humans. Both Courts, as well as the Korrigan Troupes of Breizh, are indeed bound by Ere-hud (Geas), magical laws and taboos that details how they deal with everyone, not just humans. Ere-hud are also the basis of the primary magic system in Kroashent.

Plenty more to come lorewise! If you really want to get the inside scoop on lore, I recommend following my dedicated gallery at http://kroashent.deviantart.com/ or the ongoing Kroashent wiki at https://www.worldanvil.com/w/bedouar-kroashent
I can understand that fully, especially for literature and stories (and their upcoming changes seem to only make the problem worse). Most of it I also post on here, but the WorldAnvil one is really the most in-depth and up-to-date lore until I find a place that I can properly update the actual stories (since DA is terrible for written stuff)
