This is an older drawing of mine, a Nareelae "Space Newt" a race I invented for a story project I was working on at the time. That suit is made both to stop them drying out outside their steamy tropical home, and because they have highly toxic skin so that if you touch one, you die. (they can touch each other as their immunue to their own venom)
The suit is painted to match her skin patten underneath as this is how they tell each other apart.

Hi there, how are you? :bows: I used to be on another art site, where I saw this image. I loved it and wanted to comment, but I think you took it down before I got to.
I really love this image, and not just because the being depicted here is one I'm very fond of. Your choice of color on her suit is top notch; it truly has a urodele-like pattern, and it looks very nice. The yellow belt and weapon(?) break up the black and red, and look quite right. ^_^
The body structure is also top-notch. Even without shading, the newts limb and body shapes are superbly defined. The round, ridged pattern on the suit's ventral side is a very cool detail. Unlike I'd expect from an amphibian, she has claws, but they don't look out of place at all.
If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a few questions:
Beneath the suit, what color(s) is she? Does the suit change colors if/when she does? Can she breathe through her skin like most amphibians? If so, does the suit supply breathable fluids to her mouth area only, or the entire body? Is there a limit to how long she can survive in the outfit? Is the object in her hand a weapon, or is it some sort of tool, surveying device, or otherwise? Does the little panel above her left pec say something in another language? Can she speak? The suit looks really flexible. Is it durable, too (particularly the visor area?) Lastly, what is she looking at?
I am sorry if my curiosity was too much. I am very happy to have seen this image. Have a great day! :salutes:

The tanks on her back hold an enriched water based solution that does in clude oxygen carrying ability. the suit is not air-tight however so she can open her mouth and breathe. the cylinder is small but connected to a scrubber system which recycles the fluid and replenishes the O2 content. the time they can wear the suit depends on the cartridges for scrubber and the fluid tank. change them every few days they can wear the suit almost indefinitely.
The object is a weapon, a small Gaus pistol. It's made of a Brass like alloy to prevent the magnetic field of the gun's mechanism magnetizing the body of the gun which would be awkward as it'd get stuck to things.
The panel on her chest is her name, though I've not finalized the Alphabet so I can't say what it is yet.
The suit is rather like a thick rubber wetsuit so yes it is durable. The helmet, including visor, is a tough, reactive, polymer that's proof against moderate impacts. Rather like say a crash helmet, but a lot lighter. It's not bullet proof however as this is NOT armour.
