Walking Razorblade (Colour)

Despite its fearsome appearance sporting a wealth of razor-sharp blades, beak-like face and dinosaur-esque body shape.. this creature was built for peace, the razor blades specifically evolved to strip the bark from trees to eat and live.
I have been enamoured with this species since i first read the book series they appeared in and finally decided today was the day i would eventually try my hand at depicting them.
Im wondering if anyone else can actually identify this species and the book series they came from.
NOW IN COLOUR! :D i didnt murder this by colouring it so i decided to post the coloured version
