Basically just me practising some descriptive writing so that my ability to write things besides poetry, coursework and essays doesn't wither and die >.<
It's vague and overly-descriptive on purpose. It's probably pretty repetitive and not all that good but I need practice, so...*shrugs*
Let me know what you think?
(edit: bleh, probably riddled with spelling errors and typos too >.<)

You speak American English and I do remember. Me saying English refers back to nationality and the original language, namely English (Yes people these days call it British English but it always has been the original English).
I only see American English as misspellings when it creeps its way into our country, our games, books, teaching guides, etc. On the internet both are correct and neither should be treated as misspellings. Of course, in the USA English spellings are allowed to be treated as incorrect.

One could ask that about a lot of English spellings that exist across all the English variations where a word is spelled very different to how you pronounce the word and contains silent letters. e.g. Government
This is because English is essentially a hashed language that draws on latin, greek, french and german just to name a few. Why else do we have so many grammar and spelling rules that always have exceptions? This is both English's flaw and strength: it's highly illogical but draws upon a rich culture of language allowing for excellent word play and alternate meanings, especially when combined with context.
...although I should probably add that I don't exactly have the real answers. I have no idea what was running through the heads of the people who made the English language way back when.
(and "bla bla bla"? On a bad day that can hurt you know)

Haha, it's been ages since anyone has called me Professor! That brings back memories...of course back then it would have been Professor (surname here) but still...
Didn't mean to snap or anything and I'm sorry about my boring waffle, I've not been in the best of moods and the whole British English vs American English thing is one of my pet peeves. I am 16 and were it not for security issues and the embarassing nature of my passport photo I'd prove it to ya. I'm 16, born Monday 22nd November 1993, last day of Scorpio, it was a full moon and '93 is year of the rooster :P
And thanks for the compliment, although I can assure you that I have my moments of complete stupidity too.
