Brief primer on duct tape dummies: Unless you have Teflon skin, wear long pants, socks, and a long-sleeved t-shirt that you don't mind losing under which is something for decency. No belt, though. For mine (6', 183 cm; 200 lbs, 91 kg) 4 rolls of duct tape was used. You apply strips of duct tape snugly over your entire body from neck to wrists all the way down to your toes (optional but it helps keep the stuffing inside). Apply at least two layers all over and extra in high stress areas (crotch, waist, armpits, neckline). Once you are fully emtombed, have someone you trust use a pair of good scissors to cut you free. The fewer cuts that are made the better. The clothing you are wearing should be cut as well so the duct tape sticks to it. Once fully cut the seams should be sewn back up and the insides stuffed with old newspapers, fluff, or anything light and readily available. Now you have a ready made dummy that you can use for fitting your costume, fursuit, or whatever who is your exact shape who won't complain if you accidentally stab them with a needle or hundred.

To ensure the body of the fursuit will be made to fit your body perfectly. The duck tape dummy is used because it is the same size and shape of your body once it's removed. So the suit maker builds the body around it in order to make sure the body of the fursuit fits you or whoever provided the DTD. c:
~*~*~* This is the first time doing one, and I also thank "tbutargensis" for the info......I know they are needed, but wasn't sure what was done with them after they were made.....and I assumed it was for your specific body, I just didn't know anything else. Thanx again! *~*~*~
