Jimmy Newman Medal Nominee for this round:
Round 5: Lula Millward (Perth Ospreys)
This week, There could really only be one nominee. With 5 goals, 17 disposals, 5 marks, 1 hitout and 1 tackle in a performance that got her team their first ever win on the big stage of Friday Night Football. It is of course Lula Millward from the Perth Ospreys!
It’s taken 5 weeks for Lula to become a star of the Ospreys but she has done it. With consistent great play in a weak Perth Ospreys team, Millward has stood out even against the league’s best with goalkicking. With 23 goals so far this season and standing in 3rd on the Michael “Bendy” Bruce Medal rankings, Lula is by far and away Perth’s best player so far in their very short history.
Millward has already shown that she is a superstar in the making and we wish her the best of luck with the rest of her career.
